Bei den U/UTP Kabel gibt es keine Folie um die Paare und auch keinen Gesamtschirm.
F/UTP der gesamt Aufbau ist mit einer Folie umgeben. Die Paare sind aber immer noch ungeschirmt.
Beim SF/UTP hat es neben einer Folie auch noch einen Geflechtsschirm.
Bei den U/FTP ist jedes einzelne Paar resp. Sternvierer mit einer Folie umgeben. Das gesamte Kabel bleibt aber ungeschirmt.
Bei den S/FTP Kabel handelt es sich um die am besten geschirmten Kabel. Neben der Paarschirmung mit einer Folie ist das ganze Kabel auch noch durch ein Geflecht geschützt.
