Director
Andrew is a Director of Mackay Executive, focused upon senior IT and business recruitment, based in Sydney and
servicing the entire pan-Asia region.
He assists clients with the provision of head hunting services (salary circa AU$200K – AU$450K p.a) targeting senior
professionals for permanent positions as well as contract/ interim roles.
Andrew possesses 27-years total experience in operational management roles together with 14-years of recruitment
experience at senior IT leadership and strategic business planning levels.
Prior to Mackay Executive, Andrew spent 19-months in Hong Kong (2011-2012), working as both a Recruitment Practice
Head and Business Development Director, serving multinational corporations based in the key cities of; Singapore, Hong
Kong, Southern China (Guangzhou, Shanghai), Dubai UAE and Geneva Switzerland.
Prior to this he spent 6-years as a founding Director and Partner, co-building from scratch (and naming), the well-
regarded Australian executive search firm Ethos Corporation, performing Asia Pac and global technology search
assignments.
Andrew transitioned to IT recruitment from the IT outsourcing sector through joining recruitment innovator Morgan &
Banks group in Sydney 1998. He had previously held senior managerial roles in technology and supply-chain outsourcing
with multinational business-process-outsourcing (BPO) businesses; Bull HN and RR Donnelley-Modus Media.
In these management roles Andrew simplified and resolved complex technology and services-outsourcing solutions,
across diverse international locations; eg. from Sydney in conjunction with; Singapore, Provo Utah, Silicon Valley
California, Seattle Washington, Raleigh North Carolina, Boston Massachusetts, Kildare Ireland, and Utrecht Netherlands –
for IT companies such as; Microsoft, Novell, McAfee, Macromedia, IBM, EA-Sports – and for end-user corporate and
government clients such as; Westpac Banking Corporation, Qantas Airlines and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Andrew received his formative career lessons as a Retail Manager with one of Australia’s foremost retail organisations
Coles Myer Group. It enabled him to understand business management literally from the ground up “on the shop floor”
and where his appreciation for business fundamentals, such as detailed estimation skills and passion for customer service
are both actively practiced by Andrew to this day.
His recent recruitment client base is typically large corporations and government clients including;, The Hong Kong Jockey
Club, Noble Group – Hong Kong & European divisions, Maxim’s Group (a division of DFI/ Jardine Matheson Holdings Hong
