Average of 59% thought library web site, databases and LibGuide were very easy/completely intuitive 92% desired a library app and felt the iPad was a reasonable tool for conducting research 41% still felt print textbook was ideal 100% felt the iPad enhanced their course experience 60% would recommend it as primary means to access course materials for entire college experience And the survey says…
92% wanted to see other iPad loaner courses 80% would NOT pay for/choose to buy an iPad Students recommended apps like GoodReader, TED, Tegrity, QuickVoice Students recommended avoiding apps like FB and games Overall, their only complaint was that they had to give it back and they missed real-time grades that they were used to seeing in Bb Survey1 (cont’d)

Students recommended more academic/educational/subject specific apps than in BIOL370 Students continued to say games and FB apps were a distraction Students experienced more issues with wireless access in the  2nd pilot Two students said they rarely used or avoided using the iPad altogether Survey2 (cont’d)
Students greatly enjoy the ability to consume most course content via the iPad Tegrity D2L/Bb Library resources/research Internet NOT textbooks Students identified the potential distraction caused by games & social media but still felt the positive impact trumped this However, students continued to say they would not pay for an iPad on their own, but they didn’t want to give it back Combined Pilot Feedback
