A survey was conducted of 80 college students to determine where they get news. 31 students reported getting news from newspapers, 33 from television, and 20 from both newspapers and television. A Venn diagram can be constructed to show the overlap and determine how many students get their news from only newspapers. A second survey asked 107 college students about their musical preferences. Preferences included rock (43 students), classical (35), and jazz (33). Some students reported liking multiple genres. A Venn diagram can again be constructed, using the overlap information provided, to determine how many students only liked rock music.
