The Emergent Media Center at Champlain College is directed by Ann DeMarle. Its mission is to educate students in creating solutions to challenges facing the future through collaborative design projects. The Center transforms education through brainstorming, prototyping, production, testing and refinement of media projects. Past projects include emergency response simulators, economic games, and mobile apps created for organizations like IBM, Ford Foundation, and cities. Students gain experience in areas like virtual reality, interactive books, and physical computing.
