PowerPoint Project
“ALL ABOUT ME”
This first project is a presentation that describes you and your life. Possible topics include
information about your background (birthday, birthplace, history) and family, your interests and
hobbies, talents, and skills, important past events and future plans, friends, career goals, and
whatever else you want. Your grade will be determined by the neatness of your presentation,
correct spelling and grammar, meeting all the requirements for the presentation, and the
presentation to the class.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PRESENTATION
You must have a title slide with a subheading that includes your name and a conclusion
slide. These slides do not count in the total of 15.
Your must have at least 15 other slides. You may use more if you want.
Four different slide layouts or more throughout your presentation.
One slide needs to show a family tree using the “Title and organizational chart” slide
layout.
You should apply a design template to your presentation. Choose one that you like.
Template must be the same throughout the presentation.
Add clip art to some of your slides. Be conservative with this because too much clip art
can make the presentation look bad.
Clip art on Slide and Title Master.
Font and font colors needs to be consistent. The colors need to be easy to read on the
design template you use and they need to follow the color scheme you are using.
Some of your slides must have transition and build and they must be the same throughout
the presentation.
Scan in pictures (3 or more real photos – you can bring photos to be scanned, using the
digital camera, etc.
Link to an Internet site
You will need to print a copy of the finished presentation using the following: Handouts (6
slides per page), grayscale, a handout header with your name and date, and a handout footer
with your class period and page numbers.
You will also show this presentation to the class using the smart board. It is important that
your presentation is easy to hear and understand. You will be graded on the presentation itself,
your delivery, and your behavior during the other student presentations.
Don’t write your whole entire presentation on PowerPoint. Only bullet the important ideas and
then fill in the rest of your information when you are giving your presentation. Your bullets
should be no more than six words.
Here are some ideas of things to include in your presentation. You may use items from this list
and/or use items of your own. You are not limited to the list below. Please explain each idea.
