For me the essence of business & information architecture is to improve the use and flow of information on all levels of the organization. In addition, enterprise architecture puts a broader scope since it includes the whole chain (suppliers, customers and stakeholders). In my view there is a significant difference between enterprise architecture and enterprise IT architecture.
