It is my pleasure to recommend Ms. Billie Posonski for employment with your company, or
organization. Ms. Posonski worked for Southwest Florida Works and the Agency for Workforce
Innovation as an Employment Security Representative. This position required a dedicated professional
to provide individualized assessment and career counseling to new, and/or
long term unemployed job seekers.
Ms. Posonski was charged with providing employability skills by conducting “Building Workshops”
with a strong emphasis on resume proof reading, editing and verbiage corrections to produce
marketable resumes and cover letters. Additional focus involved assessing transferable skill sets to
those affected by jobs losses due to export, or industry elimination.
Upon satisfactory completion of skill building activities, job seekers met with Ms. Posonski for
referrals to interviews. Ms. Posonski worked closely with employers to develop employment
opportunitites or refer qualified applicants to open positions
Ms. Posonski built a trustworthy reputation with employers by referring only qualified applicants; a
valued service to our employers frustrated by the influx of applications due to the unemployment rate.
Ms. Posonski collaborated well with co workers while adding to the overall efficiency and customer
service needs of the Career Center with a monthly average of 2000 job seekers as a result of the
economic decline in Southwest Florida.
Ms. Posonski will always be welcome to return, and her competency is sorely missed.
