Description:
The hardware supporting the OS is a A380 ETRAC type computer. The OS runs on an MPC555
micro-controller. It forms the interface between the hardware and the AS. The software
architecture is composed of OS, AS Motor Control Software (MCS), On Line Loader software
(OLL) and MCSM boot loader. The OS initializes the power, performs Scheduling and timer and
interrupt processing. The AS controls the ETRAS system. It commands to actuate PLS, Brake
and motor and checks for failure detection.
The MCS Drives and Monitors the electrical motor. The OLL enables to download the CMS and
MCS from a portable data loader device.The unit testing activity performed on these software was
done according to the D0178 standards(level A).This campaign also involved Maintainance
activity i.e performing Unit Testing and fixing the bug in the code. The Unit test activity involves
the following steps.
1. Review and Analysis Phase
2. Unit testing
3. Tecnical Control(Peer Review)
In Unit testing all the coverages such as Requirement mentioned in SDDD and Structural coverage
analysis were covered.
The Maintainance activity was done though Change Synergy integrated with CMSynergy. All the test
products and test results were were put in the Configuration Management using CMSynergy.

the first phase of the project we have to check the code. This code is generally checked for if it is
achieving the basic coding standards and the standard set by the client or not. This we are
performing by manually going through the code and the then running a tool LOGISCOPE on the
code. If any error comes we modify the code to rectify the errors.
