by physical activities
conducted by Sheriff
Deputies.

Arroyo Valley High School Teachers
• Teachers will offer classes for students falling behind
• Tutoring
• Make the transition easier from Middle School to High School
San Bernardino Sheriff Deputies
(Will provide disciplinary components to alter negative behavior)
• Respect
• Leadership
• Integrity
• Physical activities

5. Qualifications
• At-risk students between the ages of 14-18
• Incoming students from Middle School
• At-risk students attending Arroyo Valley High
School
• Students sent by parents
• Students send by the court/probation officers

6. Identifying the Problem
At-Risk Students are:
• Lacking academically
• The transition from Middle School
to High School is hard for them.
• Peer pressure
• In gangs
• Committing crimes
• On probation

7. Costs
NONE AT ALL!!!
Teachers would already be getting paid for working summer school
and three of the deputies would volunteer 3 hours for two days
a week for physical activities.

8. Early Preparation & Training
This will impact students and keep them motivated by:
• Redirecting students to be involved with positive
influence
• Keep students away from negative influences
• Positive redirection
• Develop academic skills
• Gain self-confidence

9. Overall Accomplishments
Students will become more focused
throughout their four years of High
School.
• Obtain a High School Diploma
• Be disciplined
• Be prepared for life
• Go to College/University
• Be decisive, reliable and responsible.
