3. After the Veteran’s Day Assembly, Mrs. Meeks and Mrs. Atkins hosted a reception for our visitors. Mrs. Meeks had the World War II Traveling Trunk Show memorabilia displayed and a video featuring Upstate Veterans playing on the Promethean Board
4. World War II Traveling Trunk Show (No. 16th and 17th) We helped Mrs. Meeks set up three areas for U.S. History and other interested classes to learn more about WWII: memorabilia in Teaching Area One, the Upstate Veterans video in Computer Room Two, and newsreel footage of the war in Teaching Area Two
5. Bulldog Booklovers Club Meeting (Nov. 18th) The club met to discuss two books: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater and Something Wicked by Alan Gratz. We were joined by Susan Wetter, the Young Adult Librarian from the Spartanburg County Public Library system who shared what the public library offers in the way of services and programs to teens.
6.
