Q: What decision making style is most prevalent in your organization? What tools and techniques are commonly used to make decisions in your organization? A: For my previous organization, the most prevalent style of decision-making was the autocratic-participative style. My colleagues and I did have a measure of responsibility in making suggestions, final decisions on major issues were always made by our manager. I leaned towards calling the organization’s style “collective,” but because I feel like our suggestions were not viewed seriously frequently enough for me to select that as the style.
