3. Executive Summary
PCI began as a commercial wallcovering and installation company in 1983.
PCI’s introduction into construction initially came when we started laminating
our wallcoverings to drywall for installation as prefinished panels. Contractors
asked us for assistance to show them how to use the product to build their
walls.
walls This was the beginning of PCI’s entry into the commercial construction
PCI s
industry.
From those early days PCI has now grown into a full-service construction
company with 4 core service divisions: Interior Construction, Interior Finishes,
General Construction Services and Quiet Concepts Acoustical Panels. With
over 125 employees, PCI has the unique ability to self-perform the majority of
our work. We believe that using our own production staff ensures our clients
get the most efficient delivery and the highest quality service possible. These
in-house
in house services include: Demolition Carpentry Drywall Ceilings Doors &
Demolition, Carpentry, Drywall, Ceilings,
Frames, Painting, Wallcovering, Carpet, Millwork, Acoustical panels, Furniture
and more!
To go along with our field trade services we have complete in-house
architectural services, our own design department, and showroom complete
with a vast library of the industry’s latest interior furnishings. We can assist you
in your budgeting process to help give you the most current and up to date
figures for your project. I would like to extend to you an open invitation to visit

8. is committed to
is committed to
PCI’s objective on all of our projects is to maintain a recycling rate of 85%.
Before building, think about waste reduction
Whether or not a project includes demolition, there will be abundant waste
from the construction. The industry average for waste generated at new
construction sites is six pounds per square foot. Most of this can be put to
another use or recycled if you plan ahead.
PCI makes recycling part of the plan
We determine what materials will be the largest components of your project
and concentrate on recycling these materials. Wood, concrete, dirt and
asphalt will most likely make up the majority of your potential waste and are
easily recycled or reused. We will help you devise a waste management
plan.

10. THE POWER OF ONE SOURCE
What makes PCI One Source different from other interior contractors?

necessary to complete the project.

held to a higher level of accountability. Many of them have worked for PCI over 20 years.
The advantage of One Source Contracting:

A CASE STUDY: THE DETROIT FISH MARKET
PCI was offered the contract to build the new ‘Detroit Fish Market’ if we could commit to constructing the project in 90 days
Detroit Fish Market
or less. The owner had built a number of Restaurants in the past and was disappointed in the length of construction time by
Detroit, MI
previous contractors. We assured him that we would get the job done on time! His goal was to be open in early December to
capitalize on the corporate Christmas parties. It was the end of August already and plans were just sketches. The only way this
aggressive schedule could be met was by working very closely with the owner and architect and of course; the use of our in‐
house team of workers. We self performed the demolition, carpentry, painting, flooring, millwork, Lemon booths, and
furniture. On December 20, 2008 with the paint still wet, the Detroit Fish Market opened for business. The Detroit Fish
Market has been one of the real success stories for the city in 2009 .
“After opening numerous restaurants in the city, the Detroit Fish Market has been one of my best
f p g y, f y
experiences. Working with an experienced professional construction company, that handled all of our needs
from start to finish, has truly made this project much more enjoyable to build. From the Detroit Fish Market on,
I found the only company that I would deal with for all future ventures.”

For large and small facilities alike, our sound absorbing panels bring acoustic control to interior architecture
without sacrificing aesthetics – in fact, they are often specified as a design medium first, with the added benefit
of acoustic control. In addition to manufacturing and installing our own products, we work to meet our clients’
needs by also representing and installing a wide variety of other specialty products.

50. ONE SOURCE PROJECTS
PCI is your one source construction solution, no matter what the size and scope of your project. Below is a
sampling of our past work, which includes medical, office, industrial, corporate, retail, and institutional.
GARDEN CITY WOUND & HYPERBARIC CHAMBER
PCI installed Garden City Hospital’s brand‐new,
eight person hyperbaric chamber that delivers
hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for patients
with hard‐to‐heal wounds. The chamber is the
second largest in the state of Michigan, measuring
8 feet in diameter and 24 feet in length, and
includes a bathroom. PCI also managed and
performed the construction of the facility.
MANDO AMERICA
Two large elevated mezzanines were built on
concrete floors with iron framing and stairs along
stairs,
with a removable railing for hi‐lo access and a
concrete pad isolated from vibrations for a test
chamber. A cooling tower with dual pumps and a
chemical treatment system were installed with a
large air compressor system, airline loop and
drops with a water separator, numerous
transformers/breaker boxes, and applied a
seamless epoxy industrial coating system on the
floor.
METRO BANK
When Metro Bank of Farmington Hills, Michigan,
decided to renovate their building, they called on
PCI. By using high‐end millwork materials, PCI
successfully renovated the bank to a very modern
y y
facility that customers have commended as
beautiful and attractive. PCI acted as the General
Contractor on the project and used all of its self‐
performing services
51. MASON’S STUDIO
PCI has constructed many sound studios using its
expertise in sound control and construction
techniques. We designed this space for Mason
from “Mason in the Morning” in the historic
Guardian Building in downtown Detroit for his daily
broadcasts.
ACTIVE AERO CHARTER
PCI was instrumental in the design of the world
headquarters of this air freight and charter airline
company. PCI constructed the entire interior of the
building to house their corporate offices which
include flight operations, executive offices, pilots
lounge, and aircraft maintenance.
PARSONS BRINCKERHOFF (PB) DETROIT
PCI was selected by Parsons Brinckerhoff (one of
the world’s largest project management firms) to
construct their Michigan corporate offices. PCI’s
high tech design of the space and unique entrance
lobby was delivered using all of PCI’s self‐
performing services
