2. training
• challenge: not much money available but
needed to include attainable tech
development in staff goals
• looked to free offerings available from state
library association and other consortial
partners in region
• one solution for us: 23 Things
• Lyrasis workshops
3. make time to ensure that all
systems are indeed a go…
time for a process
review…?
4. process review steps:
• get small groups together to talk about how
they work, strengths and weaknesses
• report out findings to entire group
• encourage openness and creativity
7. stuff we’ve all experienced…
• everyone is too busy triaging situations to
take time to see why they are doing things the
way they do
• not always making the best use of technology
in your workflows
14. now and down the road:
formal collaboration with IT –
techub launch late fall 2010
more technology work will be
done using functional teams
(web, marketing, etc.)
getting our own server!
15. Thanks!
