Editor's Notes
Voice instructions: VoiP (voice chat) is included in the Second Life Viewer. To set it up, press Crtl+P, then go to the Voice Chat tab and click Enable Voice and click Use Push to Talk in toggle mode For the best experience, you should use a headset with a microphone. If you don’t have one, you can use the microphone on your Thinkpad provided you have a set of earphones/headset attached to your computer . Use a normal mp3 player earphone- this will prevent others from hearing a echo “in world” from your computer’s speakers Talk button is in bottom right corner. Click on the little lock to turn it ON – you will see yellow line around it. Click on the lock again to turn it off
Warning: Holding down the Ctrl+Alt keys then pressing the arrow buttons is a Windows function that will change the orientation of your entire computer screen. If this happens, hold down Ctrl+Alt and press the “Up” arrow and it should return to normal
