Windows 7 USB Power Management. In
USB power management controls, turn
off USB devices when not in use, which is
a special feature of Windows 7. This
feature of Windows 7 does not let the
iPhone sync with Windows 7. As this USB
Power Management feature offered by
Windows 7 is not that important and
sometimes, the Intel P55 chipset drivers are faulty that makes USB Power Management to
malfunction. So, to avoid all confusions and problems, just turn off this feature.

Open Run dialog box by pressing Windows key and R
Type devmgmt.msc in the dialog box and press enter
The device manager will open. Find Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Expand it and you will find a list of USB Root Hub Devices
Right click the USB root hub device and click Properties
Go to the Power Management tab
You would find an option saying – “Allow the computer to turn off this device to
save power” in this tab. Uncheck this option
Click OK. Close all windows and restart your computer.
In case you do not know the number of USB root hub to which your iPhone is connected,
you need to disable the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” option
for each USB root hub.
