Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass,
that from one new moon to
another, and from one sabbath to
another, shall all flesh come to
worship before me, saith the LORD.
Isa 66:24 And they shall go forth,
and look upon the carcases of the
men that have transgressed against
me: for their worm shall not die,
neither shall their fire be quenched;
and they shall be an abhorring unto
all flesh.

• 1000 years
 The term Millennium comes from a
Latin phrase meaning “one-thousand
years.”
 There are six references to 1,000 years
within Rev. 20:1-7.
 While most of the time we think in terms of the
1,000 years time frame for the Theocratic
Kingdom, we must understand that Christ’s rule
over the earth will continue eternally. So in one
sense the Millennial Kingdom does come to an
end, but in a fuller sense, it is actually eternal.
 Perhaps a better way of looking at it is that at the
end of 1,000 years, there will be a new and
different phase of the Theocratic Kingdom.
 The reason the Kingdom can be viewed as both
ending after 1,000 years and yet continuing
eternally is that 1,000 years marks the earth’s
transformation into sinless resubmission to God
and a total merger into the rest of God’s universal
Kingdom.
 At the end of the first 1,000 years the earthly
Kingdom merges with the eternal Kingdom (1 Cor.
15:24-28).
• There will be both glorified and non-glorified people in the
Kingdom. Initially, glorified saints (O.T. saints, Church saints,
and martyred tribulation saints) will most likely greatly
outnumber the surviving tribulation saints who still possess
“normal” bodies.
 Given the better health conditions women will likely be
fruitful for centuries with no danger of death in childbirth
so eventually “glorified saints” will be kept very busy
administering a huge population.
• Deut. 30:9; Jer. 30:19b-20a; 31:27; Isa. 65:20a; Ezek. 36:10-
11
 The effects of sin’s curse will be greatly diminished, but
surviving “Tribulation believers” entering the millennial
Kingdom in an unglorified state, will still be subject to
physical sickness and even death. They will still have a sin
nature.
 Isaiah teaches that death at age 100 will be considered
premature in the coming Kingdom (Isa. 65:20).
 Some theologians believe that sickness will only come as a
result of willful sin (cf. Jer. 31:30).
Isa. 29:18; 33:24, 35:5-6; 65:20; Jer. 30:17; Ezek.34:16; Mal. 4:2
• Increase in lifespans, fertility, productivity, the
reduction of sickness, and especially changes in
animal behavior all indicate a lessening of sin’s
harmful affects.
The millennial Kingdom will not be a total
eradication of sin or a total removal of its curse,
but the Millennium will bring in a great reduction
in sorrow caused by sin.
• Christ will return in a glorious manner and
bring glory to the world.
• The Millennium will be a time of
unimaginable splendor with visible displays
of God’s power, majesty, and wealth.
Isa. 4:5; Isa. 24:23; 35:2b; 40:5; 60:1-3; 66:18
 The Kingdom period will be a time of
happiness and joy.
 Physical and emotional pain will be replaced
by joy that comes from the personal
presence of Christ the King.
Isa. 14:7; 25:8-9; 30:29 ; 42:10-12; 60:15; 61:7;
65:18- 19; 66:10-14; Jer. 30:18-19; 31:13-14; Zeph. 3:14-
17
The wealth of the world will pour into Jerusalem
and be given to Christ to whom it belongs.
This wealth will come from existing nations in
the Millennium.
Isa. 19:21-23; 60:3-17; Zech. 14:14, 18; Haggai 2:7;
Rev. 21:24; 22:2
• There will be increased rainfall in areas that are now
agriculturally unproductive and it is possible that the sun
will be modified to increase crop yield. (Isa. 30:23- 26; 35:
6b-7; Ezek. 34:26; Joel 2:23)
 The human race will forget famine and hunger. (Isa. 32:15;
35:1-2a; Jer. 31:12; Ezek. 34:27; 36:8-11, 29-30; Joel 2:21-27;
3:18; Amos 9:13-14a; Zech. 8:11-12; 9:17)
 Many verses give a picture of normal human work in the
Kingdom such as planting and building (Deut 30:9; Isa. 62:8-
9; 65:21-23; Jer. 31:5, 23-25).
 The Word of God emphasizes the fair
distribution of wealth where only those who
refuse to worship Christ will suffer.
Micah 4:4; Isa. 62:8-9; Isa. 65:22; cf. Zech.
14:16-19
 Increase in lifespans, fertility, productivity, the
reduction of sickness, and especially changes in
animal behavior all indicate a lessening of sin’s
harmful affects.
 The millennial Kingdom will not be a total eradication
of sin or a total removal of its curse, but the
Millennium will bring in a great reduction in sorrow
caused by sin.
 Millennial conditions for animals will revert
to the pre-fall status when they did not
consume meat and were tame and friendly
to man.
Isa. 11:6-9; 35:9; 65:25; Ezek. 34:25; Hosea 2:18

1 cor. 113 Subalit ibig kong malaman ninyo na ang
ulo ng bawat lalaki ay si Cristo, at ang ulo ng babae
ay ang lalaki, at ang ulo ni Cristo ay ang Diyos.
3 Now I want you to understand that Christ is the
head of every man, that a man is the head of a
woman, and that God is the head of Christ.
Matt. 5:17 "Huwag ninyong isiping pumarito ako
upang sirain ang kautusan o ang mga propeta;
Matt 5:17 Do not think that I have come to destroy
the law or the prophets. I have come not to destroy
them, but to fulfill them.
18 For truly I say to you that until heaven and
earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in
any way pass away from the law, until all things
have been accomplished.
Matt.
19 Therefore, whoever breaks the least one of these
commandments and teaches others to do so will be called
least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps
them and teaches them will be called great
in the kingdom of heaven.
gumagawa ng kasamaan ( lawlessness-without torah!'
Matt 5: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he
that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast
out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works?
23 And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that workers of Lawlessness.

Millennial Kingdom]
2.) Is.8:20 [Those who are against the Torah
have no light in them]
3.) Is.42:4 [The coastlands will wait for YHWH's
Torah]
4.) Is.42:21 [YHWH will exalt the Torah and

3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the
mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he
may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from
Jerusalem.
2.) Is.8:20 [Those who are against the Torah
have no light in them]
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they
speak not according to this word, it is because
there is no light in them.
20 Sa kautusan at sa patotoo! Kung hindi sila
nagsasalita nang ayon sa salitang ito ay sa
dahilang wala silang umaga.
3.) Is.42:4 [The coastlands will wait for YHWH's
Torah]
4 Siya'y hindi manlulupaypay o madudurog
man, hanggang sa maitatag niya sa lupa ang
katarungan; at ang mga pulo ay maghihintay
sa kanyang kautusan.
4 He will not grow faint nor be discouraged
until he has established justice on the earth;
and the coastlands wait for his law.
6 “I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness
and will hold your hand. I will keep you and set
you as a covenant for the people, as a light for
the Gentiles,
7 to open the eyes of the blind, to release the
prisoners from the dungeon, and from the
house of confinement those who sit in
darkness.
6 "Ako ang PANGINOON, tinawag ko kayo sa
katuwiran, kinuha ko kayo sa pamamagitan ng
kamay, at kayo'y iniingatan, at ibinigay kita sa
bayan bilang tipan, isang liwanag sa mga
bayan,
7 upang imulat ang mga bulag na mata, upang
ilabas ang mga bilanggo sa bilangguan, at silang
nakaupo sa kadiliman mula sa bilangguan.
4.) Is.42:21 [YHWH will exalt the Torah and
make it honorable]
10 Umawit kayo sa PANGINOON ng bagong awit, at
ng kapurihan niya mula sa dulo ng lupa! Kayong
bumababa sa dagat at ang lahat na nariyan, ang
mga pulo, at mga doon ay naninirahan.
10 Sing to Yahweh a new song, and his praise from
the end of the earth; you who go down to the sea,
and all that is in it, the coastlands, and those who
live there.
16 I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know; in
paths that they do not know I will lead them. I will turn the
darkness into light before them, and make the crooked places
straight. These things I will do, and I will not abandon them.
21 Nalugod ang PANGINOON, alang-alang sa
kanyang katuwiran, upang dakilain ang
kanyang kautusan at gawing marangal.
21 It pleased Yahweh to praise his justice and
to make his law glorious.

The millennium (also known as the millennial
kingdom) is the 1,000-year reign of Jesus after the
tribulation and before the Great White Throne
Judgment of the wicked.
During the millennium, Jesus will reign as king over
Israel and all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4;
42:1).
The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18),
Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3), and, at the
beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3).
The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill various
promises God made to the world.
Some of these promises, called covenants, were given
specifically to Israel.
Others were given to Jesus, the nations of the world,
and creation.
Jesus’ 1,000-year reign will be a time of promises kept.
 God has already fulfilled the personal aspects of the
Abrahamic Covenant; Abraham did go to the Promised
Land, he did have many descendants, and he is the
forefather of many nations.
 Several hundred years after Abraham, Joshua led the
Israelites to claim ownership of the Promised Land.
 But Israel has never possessed the specific boundaries that
God promised in Genesis 15:18–20 and Numbers 34:1-12.
 Not even Solomon ruled over this particular area (1 Kings 4:21–24).
Although he did reign from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates, he did
not hold the area from Mount Hor to Hazarenan (Numbers 34:7–9)—
into present-day Lebanon and Syria.
 In addition, the covenant God made with Abraham was that
he and his descendants would have the land forever
(Genesis 13:15; 17:8; Ezekiel 16:60).
 The current Israeli state may be a step in this direction, but
they still do not possess the boundaries God laid out.
 The covenant between Abraham and God consisted of three
separate parts:
1. the promised land.
2. the promise of the descendants.
3. the promise of blessing and redemption.
Rom_4:16 For this reason this happens by faith, so that it
might be by grace. As a result, the promise is sure for all the
descendants. And these descendants will include not only those
who know the law, but also those who are from Abraham’s
faith. For he is the father of us all,
Rth 4:1-10 Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Soon, the near kinsman of whom Boaz had spoken came by. Boaz said
to him, “My friend, come over and sit down here.” The man came over and sat down. (2) Then Boaz took
ten men of the elders of the city and said, “Sit down here.” So
they sat down. (3) Boaz said to the near kinsman, “Naomi, who has
returned from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that was our
brother Elimelech’s. (4) I thought to inform you and say to you, ‘Buy it in the presence of
those who are sitting here, and in the presence of the elders of my people.’ If you wish to
redeem it, redeem it. But if you do not wish to redeem it, then tell me, so that I
may know, for there is no one to redeem it besides you, and I am after
you.” Then the other man said, “I will redeem it.” (5) Then Boaz said,
“On the day that you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must also take
Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead man, in order to raise up the
name of the dead on his inheritance.”
Rth 4:1 (6) Then the near kinsman said, “I cannot redeem it for myself without
damaging my own inheritance. You take my right of redemption for yourself, for I
cannot redeem it.” (7) Now this was the custom in former times in Israel
concerning the redemption and exchange of goods. To confirm all things, a man
took off his shoe and gave it to his neighbor; this was the manner of making legal
agreements in Israel. (8) So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,”
and he took off his sandal. (9) Then Boaz said to the elders and to all the people,
“You are witnesses today that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s and all that
was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s from the hand of Naomi. (10) Moreover about Ruth
the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon: I have also acquired her to be my wife, in
order that I might raise up the name of the dead man on his inheritance, so that
his name will not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his
place. You are witnesses today.”
• Lev 25:23-28 The land must not be sold to a new
permanent owner, because the land is mine. You are
all foreigners and temporary residents on my land.
• (24) You must observe the right of redemption for all
the land that you acquire; you must allow the land to
be bought back by the family from whom you bought
it. (25) If your fellow Israelite became poor and for
that reason sold some of his property, then his
nearest relative may come and buy back the property
that he sold to you.
Psalm 24:1-2 “ The earth is Yahweh’s, and its fullness,
the world, and all who live in it. (2) For he has founded
it upon the seas and established it on the rivers.”
Psalm 24:1-3
Ang buong daigdig, lahat ng naroon,
May-ari’y si Yahweh, ating Panginoon;
 The trumpet call announcing the Jubilee year directly parallels the trumpet
that will announce the return of Yeshua to this earth, which prophecy and
Yeshua Himself indicated will occur on a Sabbatical or Jubilee year.
 Had Israel not lost track of the Jubilee, we could perhaps know with greater
certainty the year of Yahshua’s return.
 The circumstances of Yeshua’s return are revealed in Luke 4:18, where Yeshua
was found in the synagogue reading Isaiah 61:2:
“The Spirit of Yahweh is upon me, because he anointed me to preach good tidings
to the poor: He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to proclaim the
acceptable year of Yahweh.”
 To “proclaim” means “after the manner of a herald,
 with formality, gravity and authority.”
 The terminology coincides with the trumpet
 sound pro-claiming the all-important Jubilee at Atonement.

To “proclaim” means “after the manner of a herald, with formality, gravity and

all-important Jubilee at Atonement.
 Here is what some scholars say about the phrase “accept-able year”:
Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary:
 “Acceptable year an allusion to the Jubilee year (Lev. 25:10), a year of
universal release for person and property.”
Wesley’s Notes: “The acceptable year — plainly alluding to the year of Jubilee,
when all, both debtors and servants, were set free.”
 Here we see Yeshua rightly dividing the word. In quoting Isaiah 61 He stopped
in the middle of verse 2, which demonstrates that He Himself, as the
fulfillment of this prophecy, was now calling people out of the world to
become His followers.
 He did not read the rest of the verse, which refers to the future when He
returns on the day of judgment.
 The “acceptable year” is Yahweh’s amnesty year as one translation calls it.
Why does the land receive its rest?
* John 3:16 “For Elohim so loved ______ …”
 Every Sabbath we are instructed to cease from work and
have a 24 hour period of rest. During this time the land is
still ‘working’ by growing the crops for mankind. It does
not receive any ‘rest’.
 If you would take 52 days out of the year (52 Sabbaths)
and multiply that by 7 years you would have 364 days [52 x
7 = 364] or
 1 year that the land would receive a land Sabbath
(Shmittah) to make up for all the days it did not receive
while we ‘ceased from work’.
[52 days X 7 (Years) = 364 Days, 364 days = 1 Year]
What is the purpose of the thousand-year
reign of Christ- Messiah?
 God’s covenant with David was that his line would never die out and
that David’s heir would sit on the throne of Israel forever (2 Samuel 7:16).
 Biblical scholars agree that Jesus is the fulfillment of this covenant—
one of the reasons His genealogy is given for both His adoptive
father (Matthew 1:1–17) and His mother (Luke 3:23–38).
 The Jews understood this when they laid down palm branches and
their cloaks as Jesus rode into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–17).
 expected Him to be a military/political leader that would liberate
them from the Romans and make Israel a great nation again.
 But they didn’t understand the nature of Jesus’ work at the time was for the
New Covenant, not the Davidic Covenant. The 1,000-year reign will be the
beginning of Jesus’ reign over Israel and the earth (Revelation 20:4, 6).
 The work of the New Covenant—Jesus’ death and
resurrection to reconcile hearts to God—has been
accomplished.
 But we have not yet seen the complete fulfillment.
 Jeremiah 31:33 says, “But this is the covenant that I will make
with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will
put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I
will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
 Ezekiel 36:28 gives more specifics: “You shall dwell in the
land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people,
and I will be your God.”
 The work of the New Covenant—Jesus’ death and

Eze 47:21-23 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the
tribes of Israel. (22) And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by
lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the that sojourn
among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be
unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall
have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. (23) And it shall
come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye
give him his inheritance, saith the Sovereign Yahweh.
 Ezekiel 36:28 gives more specifics: “You shall dwell in the
land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people,
and I will be your God.”

niya.”
 Ezekiel 36:28 gives more specifics: “You shall dwell in the land that I gave to
your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”
Eze 47:21-23 Sa ingon kamo mobahin niini nga yuta nganha kaninyo
 Isaiah 59:20–21 explains that this covenant is possible
because of the Redeemer, and the reconciliation He
provides will last forever. This covenant does not mean that
every Jew will be saved. But it does mean that Israel as a
nation will worship their Messiah.
 The Old Testament prophets who spoke of this covenant,
including Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, and Ezekiel, all wrote that
it will be fulfilled in the future.
 From their time on, Israel has yet to be an independent
nation that worshiped its Messiah (Romans 9—11). They
will be in the 1,000-year reign of Christ.
 Those are the covenants God made with Israel that are to
be fulfilled in Jesus’ 1,000-year reign,
 but the Bible lists other promises that will be fulfilled, too.
 God promised Jesus He will make His enemies a footstool, and that
YESHUA Jesus’ followers will worship Him freely (Psalm 110).
 God promised the nations of the world that they would live in peace
with Yeshua Jesus as their ruler (Daniel 7:11–14).
 And He promised creation that the curse would be lifted (Romans
8:18–23), animals and the earth would be restored to peace and
prosperity (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:13–15), and people would be freed from
disease (Ezekiel 34:16). These, too, will be fulfilled during the 1,000-
year reign.
Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a child has been born, to us a son has
been given; and the rule will be on his shoulder; and his
name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase
of his government and of peace there will be no end, as
he rules on the throne of David, and over his kingdom,
to establish it and sustain it with justice and with
righteousness from this time onward and for evermore.
The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this.
 The main purpose of Jesus’ 1,000-year reign is to fulfill the
prophecies given to Israel and the promises made to Jesus,
the nations, and the whole earth.
 God’s covenants were voluntary and one-sided.
 He promised He would bless Israel and restore the world in
specific ways, and He will.
In the Hebrew Bible, the word “promise”
appears over 50 times, and the New Testament
adds another 70+ to that.
But that’s just the word alone.
If you consider the actual promises, depending
on the source, you will discover that
there are close to 9,000 promises in the Word of
God! Some say it’s more like 30,000, if you
include ones made to specific people that were
fulfilled.
 What is important to remember, however, is the fact that God’s
promises are trustworthy and dependable! Hebrews 10:23 says: “Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is
faithful that hath promised.”
 Jesus- Yeshua promised that he will never leave us nor forsake us
(Hebrews 13:15). And that He is with us unto the end of age
(Matthew 28:20). We are promised a place in the world to come, as
well as the riches and grace of being seated with Jesus-Yeshua in
heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).
• We are saved by grace through faith, which is also a promise that
God made (Ephesians 2:8). And since there is no falsehood in God,
we know that promise is true! We are the work of the Lord’s hands,
created for good works which God created before we were born
(Ephesians 2:10).
 When we talk about the promises of God, we have to acknowledge
an important fact.
 Before any of His promises can be applied to the Body of Messiah,
 God’s promises were first given to His people Israel. And it is
impressive how often God stresses the fact that His promises are
eternal and last forever.
 The whole story of salvation centers around the history of Israel, her
creation, redemption and restoration.
 God’s might and power is evident in His everlasting promise to Israel
(first laid out in Genesis 12:1-3). There, the Lord promises He will
make Abram into a great nation and will bless him.
 Throughout the books of Moses, we can read promises that the Lord
will be Israel’s God, and they will be His special treasure in all of the
earth. Israel is God’s very own possession.
 God also promises that the Messiah would come out of Israel, out of
the kingly Davidic line. (Isaiah 11:1, Genesis 3:5, Isaiah 7:14)
 The Apostle Paul promises that the future hope for Israel’s salvation
is sure and that God will make good on His promises (Romans 9-11).
 We see a revolution after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
 This is when the gentiles are invited to the table, so to speak.
In all God’s goodness, we know that He is for us and His promises are
true. We see a beautiful confirmation of that in Paul’s letter to
Corinthians:
It does not mean that He says yes to any request we may utter towards
the heavens. If you’d consider the Greek language, you’d notice that
what Paul is essentially saying is that God’s promises are always sure
and firm.
God’s promises are “yes and amen” because they are unwavering,
unchangeable and alive in us. His “Yes” is a declaration of life. And
Jesus’ “Amen” is an assurance that what He promised, will come to
pass.
 Whenever we feel like we have lost hope, we can turn to God’s promise that
His mercies are new every morning. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and
forever, which is another promise of God. We can put our daily hope in an
unchangeable Messiah.
 When we pray the promises of God over ourselves, they strengthen our faith.
We find in them the assurance of our identity in Jesus. Which in turn enables
us to stand firm against evil and the works of the devil. The author of Hebrews
11:1 tells us that,
“…Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
 This being so, we hold on to the substance of hope… that which we do not
see, through the promise of the Word.
 Because His plans and purposes are unchanging, and He himself, does not
change.
 The earth was a cursed, barren wasteland. Only thorns and thistles emerged from the
cracked soil. Sweat-drenched workers labored in the hot sun, hoping desperately to coax
food to grow.
 Then, in fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, a special child was born. His father declared,
“Out of the ground that the LORD has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work
and from the painful toil of our hands.” His parents named him Noah, which means
“comfort.”
 The earth healed, although not to the level of the garden of Eden.
 We humans typically spend at least a third of our day working to put food on the table and
pay for our rents or mortgages. Then we have plenty to do around the house. After all this
work, we are often mentally tapped and physically exhausted.
Like all creatures on earth, humanity aims to survive, reproduce, enjoy
pleasure, and avoid pain. In an affluent society, this goal takes the form of
making a “comfortable” living: having basic needs met, some luxuries, stability,
and peace of mind.
 When all these things come upon you … the LORD your God will make you
abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb
and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For the LORD will
again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers.
(Deuteronomy 30:1, 9)
 The prophets elaborated on this promise.
 Jeremiah spoke of the great ingathering of Israel at the end of the age, and he
promised that afterward, “their life shall be like a watered garden, and they
shall languish no more” (Jeremiah 31:12).
 Ezekiel confirmed the idea, assuring Israel that the produce of the orchards
and fields would be so abundant that they would never again suffer famine
(Ezekiel 36:30). The desolate land would become like the garden of Eden
(Ezekiel 36:35).
Eze. 36:35-36 Then they will say, “This land was
desolate, but it has become like the garden of Eden;
the desolate cities and the uninhabited ruins that
were torn down are now fortified and inhabited.”
(36) Then the other nations around you will know
that I am Yahweh, that I built up the ruins and
replanted the abandoned places. I am Yahweh. I
have declared it and I will do it.
The ancient Jewish sages culled many passages throughout the Bible to paint a
picture of an extraordinary world. For example, they closely examined the
wording of Psalm 72:16:
 May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains
may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the
cities like the grass of the field!
One of the rabbis noted that the Hebrew phrase translated “abundance of grain”
is peculiar. It sounds like it means both “bread rolls” and “fine fabric.”
 To him this proved that when the Messianic Era comes, bread rolls and
fine fabric will grow fully formed from the ground.
• Another sage interpreted the phrase to mean that grain will grow as
straight and tall as palm trees.
Moses told the Israelites,
 “[You ate] the very finest of the wheat—and you drank foaming
wine made from the blood of the grape” (Deuteronomy 32:14).
In Hebrew “the finest of wheat” is literally “kidneys of wheat.”
The sages imagined wheat kernels of the Messianic Era as big as ox
kidneys.
The Hebrew word for “foaming” sounds like the word for a unit of
measure the size of a barrel, yet the word “grape” is singular.
In good fun, they imagined that in the kingdom one could cart a
single barrel-sized grape from the vineyard and set it in the corner of
one’s house, and it would supply thirty full jugs of wine.
Deu 32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth,
that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to
suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
Deut. 32:14 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs,
and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the
grape.

  • 24. • 1000 years  The term Millennium comes from a Latin phrase meaning “one-thousand years.”  There are six references to 1,000 years within Rev. 20:1-7.
  • 25.  While most of the time we think in terms of the 1,000 years time frame for the Theocratic Kingdom, we must understand that Christ’s rule over the earth will continue eternally. So in one sense the Millennial Kingdom does come to an end, but in a fuller sense, it is actually eternal.  Perhaps a better way of looking at it is that at the end of 1,000 years, there will be a new and different phase of the Theocratic Kingdom.
  • 26.  The reason the Kingdom can be viewed as both ending after 1,000 years and yet continuing eternally is that 1,000 years marks the earth’s transformation into sinless resubmission to God and a total merger into the rest of God’s universal Kingdom.  At the end of the first 1,000 years the earthly Kingdom merges with the eternal Kingdom (1 Cor. 15:24-28).
  • 27. • There will be both glorified and non-glorified people in the Kingdom. Initially, glorified saints (O.T. saints, Church saints, and martyred tribulation saints) will most likely greatly outnumber the surviving tribulation saints who still possess “normal” bodies.  Given the better health conditions women will likely be fruitful for centuries with no danger of death in childbirth so eventually “glorified saints” will be kept very busy administering a huge population. • Deut. 30:9; Jer. 30:19b-20a; 31:27; Isa. 65:20a; Ezek. 36:10- 11
  • 28.  The effects of sin’s curse will be greatly diminished, but surviving “Tribulation believers” entering the millennial Kingdom in an unglorified state, will still be subject to physical sickness and even death. They will still have a sin nature.  Isaiah teaches that death at age 100 will be considered premature in the coming Kingdom (Isa. 65:20).  Some theologians believe that sickness will only come as a result of willful sin (cf. Jer. 31:30). Isa. 29:18; 33:24, 35:5-6; 65:20; Jer. 30:17; Ezek.34:16; Mal. 4:2
  • 29. • Increase in lifespans, fertility, productivity, the reduction of sickness, and especially changes in animal behavior all indicate a lessening of sin’s harmful affects. The millennial Kingdom will not be a total eradication of sin or a total removal of its curse, but the Millennium will bring in a great reduction in sorrow caused by sin.
  • 30. • Christ will return in a glorious manner and bring glory to the world. • The Millennium will be a time of unimaginable splendor with visible displays of God’s power, majesty, and wealth. Isa. 4:5; Isa. 24:23; 35:2b; 40:5; 60:1-3; 66:18
  • 31.  The Kingdom period will be a time of happiness and joy.  Physical and emotional pain will be replaced by joy that comes from the personal presence of Christ the King. Isa. 14:7; 25:8-9; 30:29 ; 42:10-12; 60:15; 61:7; 65:18- 19; 66:10-14; Jer. 30:18-19; 31:13-14; Zeph. 3:14- 17
  • 32. The wealth of the world will pour into Jerusalem and be given to Christ to whom it belongs. This wealth will come from existing nations in the Millennium. Isa. 19:21-23; 60:3-17; Zech. 14:14, 18; Haggai 2:7; Rev. 21:24; 22:2
  • 33. • There will be increased rainfall in areas that are now agriculturally unproductive and it is possible that the sun will be modified to increase crop yield. (Isa. 30:23- 26; 35: 6b-7; Ezek. 34:26; Joel 2:23)  The human race will forget famine and hunger. (Isa. 32:15; 35:1-2a; Jer. 31:12; Ezek. 34:27; 36:8-11, 29-30; Joel 2:21-27; 3:18; Amos 9:13-14a; Zech. 8:11-12; 9:17)  Many verses give a picture of normal human work in the Kingdom such as planting and building (Deut 30:9; Isa. 62:8- 9; 65:21-23; Jer. 31:5, 23-25).
  • 34.  The Word of God emphasizes the fair distribution of wealth where only those who refuse to worship Christ will suffer. Micah 4:4; Isa. 62:8-9; Isa. 65:22; cf. Zech. 14:16-19
  • 35.  Increase in lifespans, fertility, productivity, the reduction of sickness, and especially changes in animal behavior all indicate a lessening of sin’s harmful affects.  The millennial Kingdom will not be a total eradication of sin or a total removal of its curse, but the Millennium will bring in a great reduction in sorrow caused by sin.
  • 36.  Millennial conditions for animals will revert to the pre-fall status when they did not consume meat and were tame and friendly to man. Isa. 11:6-9; 35:9; 65:25; Ezek. 34:25; Hosea 2:18

  • 76. The millennium (also known as the millennial kingdom) is the 1,000-year reign of Jesus after the tribulation and before the Great White Throne Judgment of the wicked. During the millennium, Jesus will reign as king over Israel and all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4; 42:1). The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18), Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3), and, at the beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3).
  • 77. The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill various promises God made to the world. Some of these promises, called covenants, were given specifically to Israel. Others were given to Jesus, the nations of the world, and creation. Jesus’ 1,000-year reign will be a time of promises kept.
  • 78.  God has already fulfilled the personal aspects of the Abrahamic Covenant; Abraham did go to the Promised Land, he did have many descendants, and he is the forefather of many nations.  Several hundred years after Abraham, Joshua led the Israelites to claim ownership of the Promised Land.  But Israel has never possessed the specific boundaries that God promised in Genesis 15:18–20 and Numbers 34:1-12.  Not even Solomon ruled over this particular area (1 Kings 4:21–24). Although he did reign from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates, he did not hold the area from Mount Hor to Hazarenan (Numbers 34:7–9)— into present-day Lebanon and Syria.
  • 79.  In addition, the covenant God made with Abraham was that he and his descendants would have the land forever (Genesis 13:15; 17:8; Ezekiel 16:60).  The current Israeli state may be a step in this direction, but they still do not possess the boundaries God laid out.
  • 80.  The covenant between Abraham and God consisted of three separate parts: 1. the promised land. 2. the promise of the descendants. 3. the promise of blessing and redemption. Rom_4:16 For this reason this happens by faith, so that it might be by grace. As a result, the promise is sure for all the descendants. And these descendants will include not only those who know the law, but also those who are from Abraham’s faith. For he is the father of us all,
  • 81. Rth 4:1-10 Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Soon, the near kinsman of whom Boaz had spoken came by. Boaz said to him, “My friend, come over and sit down here.” The man came over and sat down. (2) Then Boaz took ten men of the elders of the city and said, “Sit down here.” So they sat down. (3) Boaz said to the near kinsman, “Naomi, who has returned from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that was our brother Elimelech’s. (4) I thought to inform you and say to you, ‘Buy it in the presence of those who are sitting here, and in the presence of the elders of my people.’ If you wish to redeem it, redeem it. But if you do not wish to redeem it, then tell me, so that I may know, for there is no one to redeem it besides you, and I am after you.” Then the other man said, “I will redeem it.” (5) Then Boaz said, “On the day that you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must also take Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead man, in order to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”
  • 82. Rth 4:1 (6) Then the near kinsman said, “I cannot redeem it for myself without damaging my own inheritance. You take my right of redemption for yourself, for I cannot redeem it.” (7) Now this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning the redemption and exchange of goods. To confirm all things, a man took off his shoe and gave it to his neighbor; this was the manner of making legal agreements in Israel. (8) So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself,” and he took off his sandal. (9) Then Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, “You are witnesses today that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s from the hand of Naomi. (10) Moreover about Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon: I have also acquired her to be my wife, in order that I might raise up the name of the dead man on his inheritance, so that his name will not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his place. You are witnesses today.”

  • 87. The trumpet call announcing the Jubilee year directly parallels the trumpet that will announce the return of Yahshua to this earth, which prophecy and Yahshua Himself indicated will occur on a Sabbatical or Jubilee year. Had Israel not lost track of the Jubilee, we could perhaps know with greater certainty the year of Yahshua’s return. The circumstances of Yahshua’s return are revealed in Luke 4:18, where Yahshua was found in the synagogue reading Isaiah 61:2: “The Spirit of Yahweh is upon me, because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to proclaim the acceptable year of Yahweh.” To “proclaim” means “after the manner of a herald, with formality, gravity and authority.” The terminology coincides with the trumpet sound pro-claiming the all-important Jubilee at Atonement.
  • 88.  Here is what some scholars say about the phrase “accept-able year”: Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary:  “Acceptable year an allusion to the Jubilee year (Lev. 25:10), a year of universal release for person and property.” Wesley’s Notes: “The acceptable year — plainly alluding to the year of Jubilee, when all, both debtors and servants, were set free.”  Here we see Yeshua rightly dividing the word. In quoting Isaiah 61 He stopped in the middle of verse 2, which demonstrates that He Himself, as the fulfillment of this prophecy, was now calling people out of the world to become His followers.  He did not read the rest of the verse, which refers to the future when He returns on the day of judgment.  The “acceptable year” is Yahweh’s amnesty year as one translation calls it.
  • 89. Why does the land receive its rest? * John 3:16 “For Elohim so loved ______ …”  Every Sabbath we are instructed to cease from work and have a 24 hour period of rest. During this time the land is still ‘working’ by growing the crops for mankind. It does not receive any ‘rest’.  If you would take 52 days out of the year (52 Sabbaths) and multiply that by 7 years you would have 364 days [52 x 7 = 364] or  1 year that the land would receive a land Sabbath (Shmittah) to make up for all the days it did not receive while we ‘ceased from work’. [52 days X 7 (Years) = 364 Days, 364 days = 1 Year]

The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this.
  • 108.  The main purpose of Jesus’ 1,000-year reign is to fulfill the prophecies given to Israel and the promises made to Jesus, the nations, and the whole earth.  God’s covenants were voluntary and one-sided.  He promised He would bless Israel and restore the world in specific ways, and He will.
  • 109. In the Hebrew Bible, the word “promise” appears over 50 times, and the New Testament adds another 70+ to that. But that’s just the word alone. If you consider the actual promises, depending on the source, you will discover that there are close to 9,000 promises in the Word of God! Some say it’s more like 30,000, if you include ones made to specific people that were fulfilled.
  • 110.  What is important to remember, however, is the fact that God’s promises are trustworthy and dependable! Hebrews 10:23 says: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that hath promised.”  Jesus- Yeshua promised that he will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:15). And that He is with us unto the end of age (Matthew 28:20). We are promised a place in the world to come, as well as the riches and grace of being seated with Jesus-Yeshua in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). • We are saved by grace through faith, which is also a promise that God made (Ephesians 2:8). And since there is no falsehood in God, we know that promise is true! We are the work of the Lord’s hands, created for good works which God created before we were born (Ephesians 2:10).
  • 111.  When we talk about the promises of God, we have to acknowledge an important fact.  Before any of His promises can be applied to the Body of Messiah,  God’s promises were first given to His people Israel. And it is impressive how often God stresses the fact that His promises are eternal and last forever.  The whole story of salvation centers around the history of Israel, her creation, redemption and restoration.  God’s might and power is evident in His everlasting promise to Israel (first laid out in Genesis 12:1-3). There, the Lord promises He will make Abram into a great nation and will bless him.
  • 112.  Throughout the books of Moses, we can read promises that the Lord will be Israel’s God, and they will be His special treasure in all of the earth. Israel is God’s very own possession.  God also promises that the Messiah would come out of Israel, out of the kingly Davidic line. (Isaiah 11:1, Genesis 3:5, Isaiah 7:14)  The Apostle Paul promises that the future hope for Israel’s salvation is sure and that God will make good on His promises (Romans 9-11).  We see a revolution after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  This is when the gentiles are invited to the table, so to speak.
  • 113. In all God’s goodness, we know that He is for us and His promises are true. We see a beautiful confirmation of that in Paul’s letter to Corinthians: It does not mean that He says yes to any request we may utter towards the heavens. If you’d consider the Greek language, you’d notice that what Paul is essentially saying is that God’s promises are always sure and firm. God’s promises are “yes and amen” because they are unwavering, unchangeable and alive in us. His “Yes” is a declaration of life. And Jesus’ “Amen” is an assurance that what He promised, will come to pass.
  • 114.  Whenever we feel like we have lost hope, we can turn to God’s promise that His mercies are new every morning. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, which is another promise of God. We can put our daily hope in an unchangeable Messiah.  When we pray the promises of God over ourselves, they strengthen our faith. We find in them the assurance of our identity in Jesus. Which in turn enables us to stand firm against evil and the works of the devil. The author of Hebrews 11:1 tells us that, “…Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  This being so, we hold on to the substance of hope… that which we do not see, through the promise of the Word.  Because His plans and purposes are unchanging, and He himself, does not change.

Sweat-drenched workers labored in the hot sun, hoping desperately to coax food to grow.  Then, in fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, a special child was born. His father declared, “Out of the ground that the LORD has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” His parents named him Noah, which means “comfort.”  The earth healed, although not to the level of the garden of Eden.  We humans typically spend at least a third of our day working to put food on the table and pay for our rents or mortgages. Then we have plenty to do around the house. After all this work, we are often mentally tapped and physically exhausted. Like all creatures on earth, humanity aims to survive, reproduce, enjoy pleasure, and avoid pain. In an affluent society, this goal takes the form of making a “comfortable” living: having basic needs met, some luxuries, stability, and peace of mind.

For the LORD will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers. (Deuteronomy 30:1, 9)  The prophets elaborated on this promise.  Jeremiah spoke of the great ingathering of Israel at the end of the age, and he promised that afterward, “their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall languish no more” (Jeremiah 31:12).  Ezekiel confirmed the idea, assuring Israel that the produce of the orchards and fields would be so abundant that they would never again suffer famine (Ezekiel 36:30). The desolate land would become like the garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:35).

I am Yahweh. I have declared it and I will do it.

One of the rabbis noted that the Hebrew phrase translated “abundance of grain” is peculiar. It sounds like it means both “bread rolls” and “fine fabric.”  To him this proved that when the Messianic Era comes, bread rolls and fine fabric will grow fully formed from the ground. • Another sage interpreted the phrase to mean that grain will grow as straight and tall as palm trees.

The Day of Yahshua’s Return The trumpet call announcing the Jubilee year directly parallels the trumpet that will announce the return of Yahshua to this earth, which prophecy and Yahshua Himself indicated will occur on a Sabbatical or Jubilee year. Here is what some scholars say about the phrase “accept-able year”: Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary: “Acceptable year an allusion to the Jubilee year (Lev. 25:10), a year of universal release for person and property.” Wesley’s Notes: “The acceptable year — plainly alluding to the year of Jubilee, when all, both debtors and servants, were set free.” Here we see Yahshua rightly dividing the word. In quoting Isaiah 61 He stopped in the middle of verse 2, which demonstrates that He Himself, as the fulfillment of this prophecy, was now calling people out of the world to become His followers. He did not read the rest of the verse, which refers to the future when He returns on the day of judgment. The “acceptable year” is Yahweh’s amnesty year as one translation calls it.

  9. The End of Scarcity The ease with which we can produce food and luxuries is a sign that the kingdom is just around the corner. iStock.com / Chinnasorn Pangcharoen BY AARON EBYMESSIAH MAGAZINEFEB 3, 2022 The earth was a cursed, barren wasteland. In an affluent society, this goal takes the form of making a “comfortable” living: having basic needs met, some luxuries, stability, and peace of mind. If we had all that we needed, we could spend our time enjoying creation, learning, and pursuing spiritual matters instead of earning a living. But more money does not solve our problem. Our lives revolve around work so much that our identities are wrapped up in our occupations. High-income earners are often also workaholics. There is an ancient Jewish saying: “More property, more anxiety.” In a modern society, simply staying alive should not be a constant struggle. Jealousy and lack of resources push people to steal—and provoke nations to fight wars. Humanity will never achieve peace until scarcity is no longer an issue. According to biblical prophecy, the solution to the problem of need will come with the kingdom of heaven. When Jesus returns and establishes his throne on earth, civilization will finally reach its full potential. The Bible describes the kingdom and its blessings in many places and many ways. Scripture consistently speaks of this time as one of abundance and prosperity. For the LORD will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers. (Deuteronomy 30:1, 9) The prophets elaborated on this promise. Jeremiah spoke of the great ingathering of Israel at the end of the age, and he promised that afterward, “their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall languish no more” (Jeremiah 31:12). Ezekiel confirmed the idea, assuring Israel that the produce of the orchards and fields would be so abundant that they would never again suffer famine (Ezekiel 36:30). The desolate land would become like the garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:35). The ancient Jewish sages culled many passages throughout the Bible to paint a picture of an extraordinary world. For example, they closely examined the wording of Psalm 72:16: May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field! One of the rabbis noted that the Hebrew phrase translated “abundance of grain” is peculiar. It sounds like it means both “bread rolls” and “fine fabric.” To him this proved that when the Messianic Era comes, bread rolls and fine fabric will grow fully formed from the ground. Another sage interpreted the phrase to mean that grain will grow as straight and tall as palm trees. Moses told the Israelites, “[You ate] the very finest of the wheat—and you drank foaming wine made from the blood of the grape” (Deuteronomy 32:14). In Hebrew “the finest of wheat” is literally “kidneys of wheat.” The sages imagined wheat kernels of the Messianic Era as big as ox kidneys. The Hebrew word for “foaming” sounds like the word for a unit of measure the size of a barrel, yet the word “grape” is singular. In good fun, they imagined that in the kingdom one could cart a single barrel-sized grape from the vineyard and set it in the corner of one’s house, and it would supply thirty full jugs of wine. An ancient Christian source claims that Jesus described the kingdom in a similar way. Papias, who was born in about the year 60 CE, quoted Jesus as saying, The days will come in which vines will grow, each having ten thousand shoots, and on each shoot ten thousand branches, and on each branch ten thousand twigs, and on each twig ten thousand clusters, and in each cluster ten thousand grapes, and each grape, when pressed, will give twenty-five measures of wine. And, when one of those saints takes hold of a cluster, another cluster will clamor: I am better; take me; bless the Lord through me! Similarly, a grain of wheat also will generate ten thousand heads, and each head will have ten thousand grains, and each grain five double pounds of clear and clean flour. And the remaining fruits and seeds and herbage will follow through in congruence with these, and all the animals using these foods which are taken from the earth will in turn become peaceful and consenting, subject to men with every subjection. (Cited in Irenaeus, Against Heresies) Seek First the Kingdom This could plausibly be an authentic quote from our Master. Regardless, the canonical Gospels give us assurance that scarcity will come to an end. In Matthew 6, Jesus taught us not to be anxious about food, drink, or clothing. He asked his disciples, Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? (Matthew 6:28-30) This teaching, however, raises problems. There are disciples in the world who lack food and clothing. The fact that Solomon was not as well dressed as flowers offers no assurance to us. Are disciples guaranteed to be fashionistas? But Jesus continued by contextualizing these promises: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). In other words, problems acquiring food, drink, and clothing will all be solved in the kingdom of God. Thus, the most effective use of our time and effort in the current age is to usher in and enter the kingdom. Should we literally expect bread rolls and fabric to grow from the earth? Grape clusters to talk? Not all the later rabbis took these ideas literally. Maimonides, a famous rabbi who lived in the Middle Ages, summarized these interpretations by saying, “It will be very easy for humanity to find their livelihood. With a small amount of effort, a person will achieve great results.” By Maimonides’ standard, many of us who live in developed countries are nearly there. One farmer today can do the work that a thousand workers were needed to do in Maimonides’ day. Pastries and outfits may not grow from the ground, but you don’t have to make them yourself anymore. You can walk into a grocery store any day of the year and buy fresh apples, oranges, bananas, and exotic fruits from all over the world. Our lives would seem like utter fantasy to anyone who lived in pre-modern times. This suggests that the kingdom is truly around the corner. All These Things Will Be Added The world as we have known it for thousands of years is not normal. The normal world is the one God created. Eden means “delight” (in the sense of a treat or delicacy) because life there was enjoyable. In Eden we had a job—gardening—but it was easy, pleasant, and productive. The kingdom will bring us closer to that normal state of delight. The kingdom will be a time of peace and rest for the world. There will be no war, famine, envy, or competition. Humanity’s real job will be to know God. Wars are rooted in competition for power, resources, security, and luxury. These will no longer be factors. There will be no point in robbery or fraud. In the kingdom, the resources we would have spent on military and security systems will be freed up to make people’s lives better. The kingdom will also be an opportunity for the righteous to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Jesus taught his disciples to “lay up for [themselves] treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal” (Matthew 6:20). By saying “in heaven,” he was using traditional Jewish terminology to mean “with God.” The treasures we store up in this life will be waiting for us in the kingdom. As Jesus promised, “The Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done” (Matthew 16:27). In a famous experiment, researchers gave each child in a group a single marshmallow and gave them a choice. They could eat their marshmallows right away, but if they waited a few minutes, they would receive two marshmallows. Then they left each child alone to stare at his or her marshmallow. Some children were able to wait; others were not. The results tended to predict success later in life. The kingdom is our marshmallow test. Jesus taught, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” (Matthew 13:44). The man had many nice things in his life. Those possessions were gifts from God; they were not inherently bad. But the total value of all his wealth paled in comparison to the value of the hidden treasure. The only way to acquire the treasure was to give up everything he owned and held dear. Although the math checked out, the decision to give up everything was not easy. Jesus told a rich man, “Sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven” (Mark 10:21). God does not expect everyone to deny the benefit of all material wealth and devote it to the kingdom, but the hard truth is that for anyone who does, it will be worthwhile. Invest Generously In the Messianic Era, there will be no more scarcity. There will be incredible abundance, prosperity, production, and fertility. The world will finally experience a restoration to its natural state—the delight of Eden. With complete peace and no worries about making ends meet, humanity will finally be free to seek and know God without distractions. But before we can arrive at this destination, we must endure in the meantime. We must pass the marshmallow test and let go of the good to gain what is better. Every generation feels as though they are nearing the end as it sees hints of the redemption breaking through. But our generation really is different. Look at the incredible accessibility we have not only to necessities but even luxuries. The world produces far more food than anyone can eat. This is a hint that the Messianic Era is almost here. Yet the fact that many continue to starve and go without food shows that we are not there yet. What can you do today to store up treasures in heaven? What is your marshmallow test? And what selfless act can you carry out to bring the world closer to restoration? In the meantime, keep studying and talking about the kingdom. It is Jesus’ answer to all our problems.
