This document provides an introduction to a Christian literature course. The first lecture discusses the concept of salvation. It defines salvation as being rescued from danger or evil. It cites two Bible verses, Romans 10:9-10 and Romans 10:13, that discuss how believing in one's heart that Jesus is Lord and calling on his name will lead to salvation. The lecture teaches that whoever believes in and worships the name of the Lord will be saved through Jesus, who died for humans' sins so they may be saved by believing in him, admitting they are sinners, and committing their lives to following him. The document concludes by posing discussion questions and offering a sample prayer.
2. INTRODUCTION Welcome to Christian Literature! In Christian Literature, we spend our time in studying God’s teachings. We need to teach this to show you how to be Christ-like. God loves you like his son, Jesus Christ, so believe in him to be saved! -Bryan, Creator of C.L.
3. LECTURE #1: TO BE SAVED WITH SALVATION Salvation to be rescued from danger or evil means “Faith” to be saved
4. “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your hearth that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” -Romans 10:9-10
5. This verse says that if you believe that “Jesus is Lord” in your heart you will be saved. You should also believe in your heart that “Jesus is our Savior” because Jesus sacrificed his life for you to save you from your sins. Though we sin, Jesus still loves us. Jesus Us LOVES
6. “ For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” -Romans 10:13
7. As in Romans 10:13, “For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”. The verse means that WHOEVER will worship or believe in the name of the Lord will be saved. Jesus made a way to be saved, by believing he died for you, admit you are a sinner, and commit your whole life in following him, the Lord in the Highest. ONE WAY TO JESUS!
8. QUESTIONS Why did God die for you? What does Romans 10:13 mean again? In your own answer, what is salvation? There are no wrong answers
