The future of work is going to be more and more remote. In this context, managers need to know how to lead remote innovation teams, and people will also need to learn how to best work on remote teams. But how do you train people to manage/participate in remote innovation teams? After reviewing hundreds of programs, we came to the conclusion what is really needed is a new type of program where managers learn by leading remote innovation teams. In addition to learnings by doing, we also concluded that the right program would need to teach specific remote management skills. This presentation covers the work done in several innovation sprints to build what we believe will be one of the best programs to teach innovation management and certify students to participate in remote innovation teams.
