This document provides instructions for an assignment on worldview and intercultural communication. Students are asked to: 1) Read two articles and demonstration test protocols on implicit bias. Complete at least two demonstration tests on tolerance.org about hidden biases. 2) Write a two-part, 500-750 word reflective essay. Part one describes how their worldview answers questions in one of the articles. Part two reflects on how their worldview affects intercultural communication, what they learned from implicit bias tests, describes ethnocentrism and stereotypes. 3) Follow APA style guidelines and submit to Turnitin in Word format. The assignment will be graded using a rubric so students should review

and consider how your outlook on life is affected by your
personal lens.
For this assignment, write a two-part (500–750 words)
reflective essay about your worldview and how it affects your
intercultural communication. Thoughtfully address how you can
learn more about yourself and others in order to be an effective
communicator.
Part 1- In the first section, attentively describe how you
answered the questions that clarify a person's worldview found
in "What is a Christian Worldview?". Answer the questions in
depth.
Part 2- In the second section, thoughtfully reflect on how you
think your worldview has, does, or may affect your intercultural
communication by considering the following:
Discuss specifically what you learned about yourself in the
process of doing the implicit preference tests.
Describe ethnocentrism. How has this belief affected your
worldview?
Describe stereotypes. How are stereotypes different from
prejudices?
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found
in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
An abstract is not required.
This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using
the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should
review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become
familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for
successful completion of the assignment.
