2. Welcome to Our School! Becoming a new teacher can be overwhelming at times to say the least. This presentation is designed to give you helpful hints for starting.

4. On the Website Under Teachers—there are resources for you to use.

5. Star Reading/Star Math These tests should be given at the start of the year and after each nine weeks. It helps to monitor progress, evaluations for special education consideration, and data collection on your students. Computer Lab can help in giving the Star Math (online). Use the school board’s website for easy access. Star Reading will have to done on a single computer in your room. This could take a few days to complete.

6. PEIP Program Prosecutor’s Early Intervention Program Great resource for turning over continuous behavior problems and truancy problems. Minimal paperwork involved.

7. Lesson Plans Due every Monday by noon. Use school board’s website for easy access to Oncourse. Document GLEs taught.

8. Home Contact Graded papers should go home every week. Progress/Report cards go home every 4 ½ weeks. Contact parent as needed more frequently.

9. Behavior Referrals Minor infractions, punish work, parent contact first If behavior continues, send to school social worker Major Referral PEIP
