This document contains Burton Lee's reflections on technology and entrepreneurship in America. It notes that technology has grown untethered from much of the country. It questions if the US understands and applies the lessons of Silicon Valley to underdeveloped regions as well as Europe seems to be doing. It highlights disadvantaged regions in Appalachia and on Native American reservations that still need work. It concludes the US has much to learn from Europe in bringing opportunities from places like Silicon Valley to disadvantaged areas.
