Discovery
Cancer was most likely discovered between

the 15th and 18th centuries. No one knows

exactly because their are many different types

of cancer.
Different types of Cancer
The University of Utah says some of the most

common types of cancer are: Prostate, Breast,

Lung & Bronchus, and Colon/Rectum.
WHAT IS CANCER?
Cancer is when a cell gets mutated and grows

uncontrollably. This can be caused by genetics, inherited

over time or environmental. By definition cancer is an

uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in different parts

of the body. Cancer is also known as Malignant Neoplasm.
Signs of Cancer
There are many different signs of cancer

because it is caused many different reasons

for cancer. Simple signs are: extremely high

fever, rash in unusual places, sore throat, and

fatigue. Cancer Symptoms
Treatment
Some most common treatment for cancer are:

radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery

(removal of the tumor). Cancer treatment can

cause many different problems in the long run;

however, it does not mean that it will happen to

everyone who is diagnosed with cancer.
Prevention
● Stop smoking or being around smoke
● Cover skin; protective clothing
● Fruits & Veggies are a must
● Limit red meat/ animal fat
● Less alcohol consumption
● Exercise more that usual (keep at it)
● Know your family history
● Get tested!(both for HIV and Cancer
  Screening)

How to get tested for Cancer?
The main way you get tested for cancer is: Screening.

Screening gives no symptoms but gives doctors a chance

to see what is going on.

Neolife says that people 20 and over should start getting

screened but it is recommended that people over 40

should get screened regularly. More Info.
Who Had Cancer?

3. Nelson Mandela
This Nobel Peace Prize winner did not just have
to battle with the cause of apartheid and
imprisonment but also had to deal with
microscopic prostate cancer in the year 2001. A
7-week radiation therapy helped him fight
cancer.
