Awards received: .British Federation of Youth Choirs conductor award&Winston Churchill Fellowship โ study training of childrenโs choirs in Sweden and Hungary Represented the association of British Choral Directors- Choral Conventions organised by its American sister association-ACDA at Boston and Washington D.C

Competitions Cor Cymru Llangollen 1999 when we had our first out of many trophies.This Year โ Best Childrens choir in the World, against choirs from Hong kong, China, Russia, England and our main competition- Ysgol Glanaethwy. This year Cywair won Cor Cymru. All of Islwyns choirs got to the semis but only 3-4 got to the final. They won a trip to Hungary next year- boys are joining them. 2009-winners-childrens choir YGC. 2007-Winners Cywair 2003-Winners.
