6. The typical audience for this genre of music would be a female
teenager who enjoys socialising but has a creative outlet, such as
writing or drawing, therefore falling into the diversely motivated
psychographic. They tend to have a partly shaven hair style
because it follows the synth pop convention of a female appearing
more masculine (metrosexual). They would direct their style
towards being bold and standing out from the crowd, often
sacrificing practicality. When it comes to clothes, they’ll follow
fashion and trends but will have a tendency of putting their own
twist and personal touch to the outfit. Listening to chart music and
alternative bands, giving them a very varied taste in music. A
common instrument that the majority of listeners will play would
be a guitar and they would use this skill to form a band of their
own, often some form of indie band. They will usually be in
tertiary education and study music or some other creative subject,
alongside playing their instrument in their free time to earn
money, rather than having a part time job.
