Dr. Turiano has extensive experience in the areas of hospice and palliative care. She has served as Medical
Director of a number of hospice organizations and is currently Medical Director for Life Choice Hospice. She
consults to several Early Intervention Programs.
OUR GOAL:
Pain management, or pain medicine, is a growing medical specialty dedicated to treating acute and chronic
pain. During this presentation, we will discuss the ramifications of prolonged, under-treated pain, what
types of medications work well, how to treat different kinds of pain, and how to measure pain effectively,
especially in non-verbal patients.
