3. Go to “videolan.org”

4. Click “Download VLC”

5. Click “Save File”

6. Double-click the installer
to install VLC

7. Click “Yes” to install

15. VLC media player will open

16. Click “Media”

17. Click “Open file”

18. Open the folder of the video

19. Click to select video file

20. Click “Open”

21. The video will immediately play

27. Full screen mode button

31. To adjust volume,
hover mouse over chart

32. Scroll mouse wheel to adjust volume

33. Click the right end of seek bar

34. Drag seek bar to left to go backward

35. Drag seek bar to right to advance

36. To convert a video format,
click “Media”

37. Click “Convert/Save”

38. Click “Add”

39. Click video file to convert

40. Chosen video file “sample.avi”
is an AVI formatted video

41. Click “Open”

42. Click “Convert/Save”

43. Click the drop down arrow

44. Choose video format
you want it converted

45. Click “Video-H.264 + MP3 (MP4)”

46. Click “Browse”

47. Open destination folder

48. Type file name you want:
BelleSample

49. Click “Save”

50. Click “Start”

51. The seek bar displays the
conversion progress

52. Double-click
to open destination folder

53. Converted video to MP4 is displayed

54. Double-click
“BelleSample.mp4” to play video

55. Video in MP4 format is playing

56. Click “X” when done

57. Let’s download YouTube
video using VLC

58. Open web browser

59. Go to “youtube.com”

60. Click “My Channel”

61. Click a video to play

62. The YouTube video will play

63. Click the address bar

64. The whole address is highlighted

65. Right-click the address or URL

66. Click “Copy”

Once the URL is highlighted

(CTRL + C = Copy)

91. Click “Save Video As”

92. Replace file name

93. Type “TEDx1”

94. Click “Save”

95. Click “X” to close browser window

96. Click “X” to close VLC

97. Let’s try to open the downloaded
YouTube video

98. Open video on folder: Desktop

99. Double-click “TEDx1.mp4”

100. The downloaded video will play
