Lets begin with a look at the equipment you will find as a part of the nurse call system.
As you work in and on the different floors you will begin to find the standardized nurse call system. This is showing you a view of a typical dual patient room.
The rooms also are equipped with a staff assist button and also a CPR button. The CPR button following with the UHS nomenclature of arrest of a patient 14 plus years of age. Urgent attention is needed.
The hospital has also added another customized alert of the RRT button, or the Rapid Response Team, signaling an accute condition change in a patient.
The wall unit has 4 additional auxiliary jacks. The jacks are programmed and constantly monitored as part of the nurse call system.
