EARLY LIFE
Azim Premji was born on July 24, 1945 in
Mumbai.
Studied Electrical Engineering from Stanford
University, USA.
Due to unfortunate death of his father, he
was called to take over the family business.
Started managing his family business at a
young age of 21 years in 1966.

Started by M.H Premji as Western India
Products in 1945.
Dealt in hydrogenated cooking fats and later
diversified to bakery fats.
Azim Premji made a focused shift from soaps

with other consumer products including soaps,
baby care products, shampoos, powder etc.
