Congratulations to our very own Ecumenical Partner, the
Reverend Dr. Karen Hamilton for a successful conference in
Montreal this past week. Bridging the Secular Divide: Religion
and Canadian Public Discourse was a conference exploring the
place and importance of religion in the public square. The
conference provided a venue for the important work of inter-
faith dialogue within this our diverse Canadian context. Panel
presentations and plenary speakers will be available for public

Our April 21st Parish Forum was
invigorating and enlightening. In
addition to progress reports from “In
The Works” groups, these individuals
suggested additional initiatives:
Emily Chatten Intergenerational Spirituality
Phyllis Creighton Energy Audit
Anita Liu Life Story Book Project
Alexis Troubetzkoy The Blessing of Animals
Rebecca Wells Jopling New Moms’ Movie Night
If you’re interested in collaborating on one of these, please
contact the initiator directly. The clergy or churchwardens can
put you in touch if you haven’t yet been introduced.
GOING FORWARD… The Parish Forum was an information
session only and all projects are subject to approval by the
Management Team. Major initiatives will also involve
appropriate consultation with the parish. Working Groups and
individual initiators who seek funds are now responsible to
complete a Re-imaging Church Information Package and
submit it to the Allocations Committee, which will make
recommendations to the Management Team. Any projects
that do not require funding should be forwarded to the
Management Team directly.
Interested in helping to plan a “new Moms’ movie night”?
Please speak to Rebecca Wells-Jopling
or the Reverend Julie Meakin.
