DRIVER & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Representative Office of Chemonics International Inc. seeks an individual to serve as a
full-time Driver & Administrative Assistant on the Competitiveness Enhancement and
Enterprise Development Project II (CEED II), which is financed by the United States Agency
for International Development (USAID). The position is located in the project’s office in
Chisinau. It will be open in January 2013 (exact start date in January TBD).
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Driving CEED II team members and consultants throughout the territory of Moldova using
one of the project’s own vehicles (Chevrolet Orlando, automatic). Assisting to load and
unload the vehicles as needed. Maintaining the vehicles in good condition, including
scheduling service, repairs, and cleaning as needed. Working with CEED II management to
ensure that the vehicles are properly insured. Assisting with basic office administration tasks
and events organization as needed. Assisting the project team leader as needed.
Qualifications:
• Licensed driver with clean driving record
• Prior experience as a project, embassy, or company driver strongly preferred
• Prior experience with basic office functions and tasks, i.e. basic office computer skills,
writing short reports/memos, document filing, events organization, etc.
• Ability to work independently but as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in Romanian and Russian; basic English language skills strongly preferred
