The Hubble Space Telescope is a robotic telescope located at the outer edges of the atmosphere, in circular orbit around the Earth. It’s called like that in honor to Edwin Hubble, and it was launched on 24th April 1990.

Editor's Notes
Hi! We’re Sara and Cesc and we’ve prepared a power-point about Hubble. We’re going to explain to you some things about this telescope, like its structure, its different missions, and we are also showing you some photos made by it and its main discoverings. We’ve done the topic about this because we think that Hubble has supposes a before and an after and because we don’t know almost anything about the universe. The photos we will show you are amazing, so, we hope you like them.
Orbit altitude: 559 km
Weight: 11.000 kg
Shape: cylindrical
Length:13,2 m
Maximum diameter: 4,2 m
Optical resolution: 0.1 seconds of arc
Here we have some photos we took some photos with Celestia using the manual and the instructions that were given to us. At first it was thought to bring the telescope back to Earth every five years for maintenance, and also have a servicing mission in space in each period. Later, seeing the complications and risks involved if they had to return the instrument to Earth and release it, they decided that some astronauts would visit the telescope to correct various malfunctions and install additional equipment. They have visited Hubble to fix it or to add equipment several times since its launch.
Located some 28 million light years, the Sombrero Galaxy is considered the best photograph taken by the Hubble.
The Eskimo Nebula is located 5000 light years far away from here.
Mz 3 is often referred to as the Ant Nebula because it looks like the head and thorax of an ant.
It is one of the most complex nebula known, in which images of very high resolution Hubble Space Telescope have shown remarkable structures such as knots, jets of material, bubbles and arched structures.
located 8000 light years, a beautiful nebula with a narrowing in the middle.
Located 2.5 light years
located 5500 light years away, described as 'a bubbly ocean of hydrogen with small amounts of oxygen, sulfur and other elements'
Edmund Halley was the first to calculate the orbit of a comet and explore the periodicity of these bodies. The first sighting of the story occurred in Greece in 466 BC. The next sighting was recorded by Chinese astronomers in 240 BC Since then, the comet has returned 29 times. The average length of the year of Halley's comet is 75-76 Earth years. The last time we visited the comet was in 1986. And it will not pass close to Earth again until the year 2062.
The Eagle Nebula is part of a diffuse emission nebula. 7000 light-years distant.
Now, we are going to show you a video we found about this nebula that was taken with Celestia.
The nebula is visible with the naked eye even from areas affected by some light pollution.
Its name "milky" is derived from its appearance as a path of milk across the night sky in which the naked eye cannot distinguish individual stars. The Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy some 100,000–120,000 light-years in diameter which contains 100–400 billionstars. It may contain at least as many planets as well. The Solar System is located in the disk inside the red circle which is marked.
A black hole is a region of spacetime from which gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass will deform spacetime to form a black hole.
It has a length of 91 trillion km. We can find it in the Snake’s constellation. Inside, young stars are in the process of formation, creating a wonderful spectacle of gaseous emissions.
And our presentation finishes here; we hope you’ve enjoyed it.
