PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Vodafone Germany is delivering a large scale LTE rollout and SRAN swap. Currently, processes for
network planning and implementation as well as usage of tools in this area are different across the eight
branches in Germany
Vodafone started the Operational Support Systems (OSS) Transformation Program in order to increase
effectiveness and efficiency of the Technology Organisation. Main focus is the alignment and
optimization of the existing processes and the modernization of the supporting IT systems.
One of the basic principles is furthermore, to obtain a higher level of process automation, especially in
strongly process driven areas. Hence the implementation of BPM based solutions in suitable areas is
one major focus of the OSS Transformation Program.
The project BPM & Automation is one major building block and success factor for the before shortly
described OSS Transformation Program.
Below are the deliverables of the project:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
STaRS is a global Client Service tool with a single window to clients in over 92 countries. It acts as an
end-to-end business process request tool providing case tracking, workflow auto-routing and transaction
processing for various currencies. One of the functionalities available in the system is the ability to load
cases in bulk through an excel spreadsheet. As part of streamlining some of the WorldLink related
processes related to PEMR reports, need was felt to create a new excel format with basic information to
enable faster loading of cases.
The current bulk upload process is very unique to the Euro Line of business, as such, existing users for
other processes are unable to utilize this in order to bulk upload client investigation queries. Also, today,
there is no ability to convert multiple queries received from clients into service cases without having to
manually upload each case. This is especially required during instances of system outages involving
multiple transactions where cases need to be loaded for every transaction that is impacted.
The project aims to expand the existing bulk case functionality to be utilized across Service and all 3
Investigations products, i.e. Euro/USD and WorldLink.

JP Morgan Chase has clients to whom the organization associate its account holders, by means of
different products of either its own possession or of its client. The whole methodology for this is a
sophisticated one, for which the existing SARS system of the organization was not as efficient. Also with
frequent changes in the business, there was a need for the whole application to be rebuilt on a CRM
platform such as PRPC. Each product required its own totally dissimilar configuration rules with the
flexibility to change any details at any stage of the request creation, and associating different types of
accounts with these products. The project makes use of the techniques like Java Script, JSP, HTML,

AJAX, Database Connectivity, PRPC techniques: creation of Work-Cover and Work-Objects, Work Flow,
Worklist Customization, Report Generation, Looping through the Pages.
The current processes in Treasury and Security Services (TSS) used to on-board clients, setup accounts
and products and enabling client access vary with respect to quality, timeliness and client expertise.
Characteristics include: multiple client touch points, multiple hand-offs, unclear roles and responsibilities
and inconsistent and often untracked SLAs. These characteristics result in unpredictable on-boarding
cycle times, poor data quality and client visible processing errors.
The project is for providing production support for the ID Setup and New Account Setup Application.
