  2. 2. o Begin with the End in Mind means developing a clear picture of where you want to go with your life. o Deciding what your values are o Setting Goals
  3. 3. Begin with the End in Mind—What It Means o Good reasons to have an end in mind ▪ The paths you choose now can affect you forever. ▪ If you don’t decide your own future, someone else will do it for you.
  4. 4. What About Friends? o It is better to have no friends than to have the wrong friends. ▪ The wrong friends can lead you down. ▪ Retracting your steps can be a long and hard journey. o Your friends don’t always have to be your age.
  5. 5. What About Sex? o You can’t wait until “heat of the moment” to choose which path to take. o The path you choose will affect your health, reputation, when you marry, etc. o We are free to choose our paths, but we can’t choose the consequences that come with them.
  6. 6. Who’s in the lead? o You need to create you own way, otherwise someone else will do it for you. o You can live in the moment but don’t go with the flow because you will end up with something that you didn’t plan to have it. o Without end in mind you can easily get lost.
  7. 7. A Personal Mission Statement o End in mind is very important for everybody. o When you wake up, you should plan to do something for today. o You can start with what is the beginning, how you will act to others, and where you will end up for today.
  8. 8. Uncovering Your Talents o Everybody has their own talents. You just need to find what do you like and what you are good at. o When you know what is your talent, make it better everyday and make it useful.
  9. 9. (continued) dfr● Another truth is that we all blossom at different times. ● Don’t worry if you are a late blossom because it may take time while you are uncovering your talents.

Key No.4 Use Montous Moments o The key is to harness these moments for goal setting. o Set out to make new goals. o Learn to harness the power of key moments, to set goals and make commitment when you are in the mood to do it. o Character is the discipline to follow through with resolutions long after the spirit in which they were made has passed.
  11. 11. Key no: Rope Up o We roped up or tied ourselves together with ropes to aid us in climbing and to save our lives if one of us fell. o Rope up and borrow strength from others. o Ropes you have out, the greater your chances for success.
  12. 12. Goals in Action o To be successful in my athletics. I knew I had to get bigger and stronger. o A lot of nice dreams, wouldn’t you say? o Let me illustrate. o Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, the hand of man can achieve.

Turning Weakness into Strengths o I’m only trying to demonstrate the power that goals can play in your life. o People who lack the native physical, social, or mental gifts they desire must fight just that much harder. o If you’re not endowed with all the beauty, biceps, buchs, or brains that you covet.
  14. 14. Make Your Life Extraordinary o Life is short. o We are food for worms. o Go on, lean in. Listen. o Make your lives extraordinary! o A career is a profession. Mission is a cause. o Most of us will never do great things. But we can do small things in a great way.
