GAIL: (Possible comment below…) The Great Recession has gutted retirement accounts, which have lost 26 percent of their peak value. As a direct result, nearly four in 10 Americans older than 62 say they have delayed retirement, according to a new Pew Research survey. But again and again—worries about memory top the list of older adult concerns in most surveys In every instance, older adults report experiencing fewer issue/problems than younger adults report expecting to encounter them when they grow old. At the same time, however, older adults report experiencing fewer of the benefits of aging that younger adults expect to enjoy when they grow old, such as spending more time with their family, traveling more for pleasure, having more time for hobbies, doing volunteer work or starting a second career.
SHARON: Okay—time for your informed choice Explain what we will do--re-state the ways the modules are available including the DVDs; re-affirm the video book club(Mastery Circles) idea and say that this is going to be a mini version of that. Sort of like ‘speed dating’ with Mastery of Aging Well
