  2. 2. When you are consumed with work, it often feels like there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on your list. As you complete one task after the other, it can feel like you still have a list a mile long. Rather than worker harder, work smarter. This blog will walk you through 8 effective strategies for you to increase your productivity at work.
  3. 3. TRACK AND LIMIT YOUR TIME When you take a moment to write down your schedule for the day, you may find giving yourself more work than what you can accomplish within the workday. In all reality, only about 17 percent of people can accurately estimate the passage of time. There are a variety of time tracking tools available to help increase your productivity and keep you on the right track.
  4. 4. DON’T FORGET TO TAKE A BREAK Taking a break during your work break has been proven to increase productivity and concentration. However, psychologist have found that doing multiple tasks at once can actually cause you to lose productivity. Rather than multitasking, make it a habit to completing one task before moving onto another.
  6. 6. IMPLEMENT THE “TWO-MINUTE RULE” While working, implement the “two-minute rule”. If there is a task that you know that you can complete in two minutes or less, make the time to accomplish it immediately. Completing the task “now” rather than “later” will take up less time compared if you wait to do it.
  7. 7. CREATE MICRO- GOALS One of the most common reasons behind unproductivity is procrastination. Much of the time that we procrastinate is due to feeling defeated by the large goals we set. To avoid procrastination, break your goals down into several micro-goals. Seeing yourself make progress little by little helps to make your overall goal feel more attainable.
  8. 8. If you are ever at work, feeling frustrated and stressed, take a minute to step back and think these tips. These five ways are an effective way in which you can work smarter, not harder.
