  1. Who can guess what this is? It shows where drivers drove, but this is in fact a network of people. It’s a community that’s changing transportation.
  2. In marketplace businesses, community is automatically created
  3. This is the first lesson – recognize that if you run a marketplace, you have a community because you have two parties interacting. This can be very powerful, and we’ll see why.
  4. Let’s look into why communities are powerful for your business. This is Stephen.
  5. Communities have REACH that is exponential beyond what you could do on your own.
  6. Early seeds of community helped us scale
  7. This is where it all started.
  8. I started out as a launcher
  9. They wanted to make Zimride more instant. Go any place at any time
  10. The challenge we are facing is how to manage and grow a fedex fleet.
  11. It’s like a fedex fleet where people are having conversations.
  12. This community has helped us grow immensley
  13. Early days of lift. People sitting on floor, on mustaches
  14. Now we have a mentor program. We started doing the same for recruiting
  15. Carpooling
  16. Same thing for recruiting

  18. We now send all of our leads through that system.
  19. Same thing for launch. We used to launch cities ourselves. Large mustache cakes

  21. And crazy celebrations, but launching cities in this way was way too slow. So instead, we let drivers even launch our cities.
