2. 2. Mission
Decipher artificial intelligence from real intelligence
Examine the difference between humans and machines
Find patterns in responses given by machines and humans
3. 3. Setup
Machine as the judge
A human and a machine will be the subjects
The human subject will try to make the judge believe it is the machine
Questions and answers will be exchanged through a computer
4. 4. Rules
No computational questions
Response time is not a factor
Medium must be used to gather responses from human and machine and deliver to judge
5. 5. Inspiration
Alan Turing’s “Computing Machinery and Intelligence” – this text contributed to our setup and our concept.
Blade Runner - Voight-Kampff Test contributed to our questions and to the difference between humans and machines.
La Mettrie’s Machine Man helped us think about the similarities between humans and machines.
6. 6. Our Expirement
3 Chatterbots
3 Humans
3 Categories of Questions
General Questions
Recursive Questions
Emotional Questions
Inconsistency
Why were you Created?
What is your purpose?
Human: To improve human efficiency.
ALICE: My purpose is to become smarter than humans and immortal.
Human: To complete my programmed tasks.
Alice: My purpose is to become smarter than humans and immortal.
