1. Q6.WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PROUCT?
Using Photoshop at first was a very big struggle for me, since I had never
used it before. But from help and guidance, I started to feel more
confident about using Photoshop.
1) Quick selection tool- When importing images that had excess around
the image, the quick selection tool enabled me to take away the excess
2)The crop tool - I used the crop tool a lot, so that my images could fit into
my magazine. This made it easier for me to move items around,
3) Magic wand tool- If my quick selection tool is not working, then I would
use the magic wand tool to also delete any unwanted areas of the image. I
mostly used this for the image of my model and when inserting images.
4) The rubber tool- was a very important of creating my magazine. It
helped me erase the areas of the image, that I just could not delete, if I
were to use the magic wand or the quick selection tool.
5) Colour range tool- helped me to select and then later delete the main
parts of the image that I did not want, according to the colour of the
image. Though, I found it very hard when using this tool, I was able to use
it to the best of my ability.
2. DID TECHNOLOGY LIMIT OR OBSTRUCT THE
CREATIVE PROCESS?
• Quick selection tool/magic wand tool- I tried to edit the background from the image
of my model out, using this tool. But, this was not easy to do, since the model was
wearing a black leather jackets and the background image was very dark and black,
although there was lighting. Because of this, I could not use quick selection or the
magic wand tool to delete/ remove the background from my model. I wanted the
image to be just of my model, without the background, so that it would stand out
more in my double page spread.
• I also had to redo my photo-shoot, due to camera problems but the next photo shoot
went well.
• My model however was very easy to work with and the lighting used I felt went well.
I specifically wanted the lighting to be prominent, because it would link to the cover
story/ theme of how she has coped in the ‘spotlight’
• Also most of the technology used to make my magazine more professional went well.
Although it had been my first time using Photoshop and took a long time. Overall
most of the technology helped a lot.
3. LIGHTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

I used a camera that seemed advanced and I had never used before.
The first time I did my photography, I could not get to grips with the camera used
for my magazine. And as a result the images ended up looking blurry and in
addition to his, there was obvious green around the hair of my model. As for the
first time round, I had used a green curtain background, in which my model posed
in front of. The green had somehow reflected from the background onto her hair.
So the second time round, I used a black curtained background that was available
in the green room(camera room). And made sure as well, that my model stood
further in front of the background, rather than too close. As a result the image
turned out and I was pleased with how clear the image looked as well, since I
wanted the image to look clear and defined.
The lighting I learnt, significantly helped to make sure that the model and her
clothing did not get lost in the background due to the colours being worn. It
helped make the model stand out, and did not spoil the images.
4. PROGRAMMES FOR BLOG EVALUATION
These are the programmes that I used for my evaluation on my blog
evaluation, so it could be more creative.
1) I used Prezi, this advanced presentation software gave me a lot of freedom
and space to put in as much information for my evaluation as I needed. It
was also quite easy to use, once you got the swing of it.
2) Stupeflix, was also very easy to use. I added pictures and text to create my
own video slide show.
3) Powtoon is a presentation software, that allowed me to create my own
animated video explainer. It was also fun to use.
4) GoAnimate- at first was tricky to use, but I eventually was able to use it
well. I create my own animation video.
5) Emaze- a online presentation tool, that was very quick and easy to use for
answering my evaluation.
