Good use of narrative, locations (also
huge explosion) and performance. There
is a lot of cinematography; pans (there is
a pan to show what he is singing about),
tracks, tilts, zooms, close-ups. There are
three elements, himself, his shadow and
his past. There is also the sexualisation of
women. At the end there is also a feeling
of tranquillity with dim lighting and the
colour blue.
OK GO Purely for comedy value The camera is still whilst they are
dancing on the treadmill. They are all
wearing suits to fit in with the time
period. They are all in sync, within 1
shot, therefore it is very continuous. It
was a ‘YouTube fad’.
Kings of Leon – Sex is on
fire
Love story There is a performance as well as a
narrative. It is effect has it is shot in the
dark but has a sepia tone. There are lots
of zooms and extreme close ups used to
develop the story. The costume reflects
the genre of the music. The singer also
plays the person in the narrative. Editing
is good, there is slow motion, water
falling down on him, and black smoke
coming from his mouth.

The editing and movement is slow, the song is fast.

Too dark and too rushed.
Poor cinematography and editing.

Weird backgrounds
Somebody’s head was cut off due to bad editing at the start.
3 - D The song is upbeat and fast and the movement is slow and she
is seated.
The shots are long and drawn out
