A black-and-white film immediately creates the impression that your attention is concentrated on what is most important. Tarkovsky's films include Andrei Rublev, Solaris, The Mirror, and Stalker.
The color red is associated with Scottie's romantic fantasies, but also with his vertigo and thus a sense of danger.
