The students of Atalía school in Gijon, Spain held a vote to select which non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to donate a portion of money from their school cooperative to. Medicines Sans Frontieres received 60% of the votes, providing humanitarian aid and medical assistance. Greenpeace received 25% of the votes, working to protect the environment from issues like climate change and deforestation. The students decided to donate 10% of profits from the cooperative to the two chosen NGOs as a way to give back and help those in need.
