1. National Honor Society Scholarship Essay
The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a
successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor
Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I
have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I
have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of
academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily
translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having
previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience

2. National Junior Honor Society Essay
If I were to be accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors
that can be awarded, I would consider myself to be a very lucky person. Throughout my life, I've
always considered myself as someone with good character and values.I've always prided myself
in always doing the right thing and helping others. In addition, I view myself as a leader, not a
follower. Being a leader comes naturally to me. I'm a leader amongst my friends and siblings.
They always look up to me when they have a problem or when they need advice. I have a good
standard education with an A average which will help me achieve my goals in the future. If
chosen, I feel I could make the National Junior Honor Society a better organization by tutoring
those who need help in particular subjects that I'm good at. Additionally, I would recommend that
we have a cultural club where students from different cultures can teach us about their cultures and
way of life. Also, I would encourage my peers to give ideas on making this program more fun and
creative.I would plan many activities for my peers including field trips to popular destinations.

I currently help the sanitation workers in my neighborhood collect trash and I would still like to
be involved in that while I am a NJHS member and hopefully, can get other members to volunteer
too. I also tutor my brother daily with his homework assignments. It would be a really good idea
for the NJHS to do volunteer tutoring on a national level to help those that need some extra
attention with their school work. I would like to see the NJHS collect perishable food and toys for
the hungry and needy people. My school collects canned goods for families that are in need of food.
I would love to see the NJHS continue that as

3. Why I Want To Be A National Junior Honor Society
"...ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." This quote by
John F. Kennedy, thirty–fifth president of the United States, shows that the National Junior Honor
Society could do a great deal for me as a person, but I can contribute a great deal to this society as
one of its members. I believe that I would be a substantial member of NJHS. I would enjoy an
opportunity to be a part of this society. Also, I have characteristics that potential National a Junior
Honor Society member would possess. First, I would appreciate an experience to be part of NJHS.
I am interested in being in the National Junior Honor Society because I want to help other people out
through our roles in charity and community service.

4. I want to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society(NJHS) because it recognizes that
students excel academically, have strong leadership, and have done service to the community. By
joining NJHS my leadership skills will improve. Also joining National Junior Honor Society gives
me different opportunities. I want to have more leadership experience, continue to grow
academically, improve my character skills, and benefit others. I have many goals for the future and I
feel that joining National Junior Honor Society will help me meet them.
I make an ideal candidate for National Junior Honor Society because I have maintained a high
academic average and take education and school seriously. I work very hard for everything. I have

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look
on and do nothing", quoted the famous Albert Einstein. Most people don't care what happens to
others who need the help. Luckily, we invented food banks, Wounded Warrior Project, and plenty
of other things. I would like to be part of National Junior Honor Society because the very origin of
the society came from service. I realize that to be a part of the society, I will need to work hard to
get where I want to be. Being the sentimental and the compassionate person of my age, I always get
praise and plaudits from my family for making them feel proud. I get straight A's and never put a
unfinished task to rest. I am currently volunteering at Beacon

I am very excited to be nominated for a membership in the National Junior Honor Society. I
believe that I am a good candidate because I possess the qualities needed to be a good member. I
am very invested in my grades, leadership skills, helping others, and staying true to who I am.
As of grades and academic achievements, I've maintained a 3.96 grade point average all year
long and expect to keep and/or raise my GPA by the time I graduate. I've proven to my teachers,
family, and myself that I can do anything that I set my mind to, like maintaining a high GPA or
being on high honor roll for three years. I've also been awarded the Presidential Education Award
three times for my hard work. I have participated in honors classes ever since elementary...show

As a result of this I have been invited to go to Washington D.C. for the Junior National Young
Leaders Conference two years in a row, but sadly I haven't been able to attend. In PBL we get a lot
of leadership opportunities in projects. I have been voted leader in almost every group/team
project I've been apart of. As a leader, I enjoy listening to everyone's ideas and opinions to come up
with the best decision for the situation. I believe that being apart of NJHS will help develop my
leadership skills and help me become better at finding the ride path to take while working with a
team. I also babysit for a few families. Being a babysitter requires a lot of patience, which ties into
me being a strong leader. While playing basketball you take on a roll as either a leader or team
player. I think that I can take on either role as I have learned how to inspire my teammates while
also taking a step back and learning how to do so from others. I think that learning to be a
"follower" before a leader is essential to figure out how you want to lead others. I've also helped
out with the "Little Dribblers" at the Zone, keeping score and helped with practices, because I love

National Honors Society is an amazing opportunity to be chosen for. By being accepted, it shows
that the hard work that I have done in the classroom, and in the community have done well for not
only the community but for myself as a person. Since I have started High–school, I have done many
volunteer hours at my church. I have done many things such as help lead game–time for the little
ones during a learning program called Awana. Awana is a program done by some churches to help
raise children to love and serve God. I also help most Sundays in the sound room at church. I help to
run the sound and the computer that displays the songs that we are doing that particular Sunday. I
enjoy doing these things because seeing the children's faces, enjoying

I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I
certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I
have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and
have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and
standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn't the worst. I try to help
out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time
to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.
As previously stated, I have no major discipline problems. At home, I am, I believe a good kid. I

National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for students to show their leadership and
collaborative skills. I would like to serve as secretary in the 2016–2017 school year because I am
dedicated to what I do, and I enjoy being involved in school and helping others. I believe I can
take on the responsibilities that come with the job and am qualified to serve because I am
dependable and curious. My curiosity leads me to ask questions, which will allow me to know as
much as possible about the meeting and the meeting procedures. I am also organized and neat,
which enables me to make sure everything and everyone is present at the meetings and to also be
aware of the calendar and the growth of the committees.

"Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individual and of nations alike."
Theodore Roosevelt. Students should demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and
character because of three reasons. One, if students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely
to get better grades and get reprimanded less. Another, without these traits, astudent would have far
less opportunities in the future. Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they
allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. Overall, these qualities are very
important in the present, and in the future.
If students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely to get better grades and get reprimanded
less. Students who participate in extracurricular activities or are more active in society and school are
much more likely to do better in their academic experience. "During the first semester of their senior
year, participants reported better attendance than their non–participating classmates––half of them
had no unexcused absences from school and half had never skipped a class, compared with
one–third and two–fifths of nonparticipants, respectively." (http://nces.ed.gov/) Meaning that many
students who participate in clubs do better in school. Many clubs in schools require all four of the
qualities and more. Also, as students usually feel a sense of ennui in their classes, they will be
more excited as the day goes by if they have

The National Honors Junior Society is one of the nation's prime organizations established to
acknowledge outstanding middle school students. In order to be eligible to be a part of this society,
students must exhibit certain achievements in different areas. Students must demonstrate excellence
in areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. The purpose of this
prestigious organization is to provide a strong foundation for building leadership skills through
service to the school and the surrounding community. I should be a part of this society because I
believe I posses great leadership, scholarship, character, citizenship, and service qualities. One
aspect of membership in this society is leadership and service. I believe I have leadership qualities

the rest were A and one A+. I have good character because I respect all my peers and teachers. I
also have not received a detention this year and very few white slips for arriving late to school.
Lastly, I am very responsible and try to get all my work done days before it's due which is
illustrated by not having a late or missing assignment. Finishing this assignment five days before

National Junior Honor Society The National Junior Honor society, to me, represents the highest
honor someone can achieve while in Middle School. Being accepted into such a prestigious
society would not only give me an environment where I can improve my character, but it will also
give me an experience which will help me gain a leadership position in the future. My intentions
while in this society are to gain knowledge on what I can do to better my household as well as my
community as a whole. While in this society I will work diligently to make positive changes to my
community and school.
The five ideals of the Honor Society to me represents goals that will be given to me while in this
program. These goals in time will be reached. During this time before these goals are reached, I
will gain experience which nothing else can give me. This knowledge will educate me on what other
activities I can do to improve my community. With this newfound knowledge, I will exemplify these
goals, or ideals, and teach people how to do the same in their community. Altogether these goals
mean new ideas which will positively change my mentality and that of those around me....show more

household have definitely helped improve my maturity, and my character. I do these actions not to
gain recognition, but instead to service my community and to aid those in need. Each day I aim to

ideals, and will teach others of doing the same to keep our community

Once, my friends and I encountered a problem where the soccer ball that we were playing with
got stuck up on one of the stands next to the soccer field. All the security guards were too far
away to ask for help; the ball was stuck at the highest point of the stand so it was almost impossible
for one of us to reach the ball. Then, I came up with a clever plan, which was to shake the stand until
the ball dropped. Although this method would be time–consuming, this did not risk anyone's life to
reach the ball. Under the command of me, the others shook the stand with all their might until their
faces all reddened; eventually, we managed to accomplish our "mission." I, as well currently
represent the "Service" trait of NJHS by helping those who are in need. When I first saw the new
students this year, I decided to help them by becoming a friend and maintain that relationship. I still
