MASTER newsletter February
The mobility experience of the Greek team and
our second meeting in Denmark
The first mobility of our Erasmus+ Master project with 5
pupils and 2 teachers from the 4th
gymnasium of Chania
took place from the 2nd
to the 9th
of February in Denmark
and concretely in the Kjellerupskole.
Specifically, the pupils that participated in the mobility and
had the chance to be active members of the project
activities at the Danish school, meet and interact with a
multinational European team of pupils and teachers and
last but not least be hosted by Danish families were the
following: Iosif Bolakis, Aggelos Moraitakis, Valia Manousaki,
Margarita Staninou and Filio Pyrovolaki.
The teachers that took part were the projects coordinator
Eirini Bataki and the PE teacher Michalis Manousakis.
Teachers stayed in the nearby town Silkeborg, were also
participating both in the projects activities and in
coordinators meeting that were meant to keep track and
manage the project activities and design the forthcoming
ones for our next meeting in Spain.
Both pupils and teachers were impressed by the hospitality
of the Danish parents and pupils., the size and the modern
spaces of the school, the digitalisation of learning, the
swimming pool and cinema that was part of the school
complex and of course by the friendliness, helpfulness and
inventiveness of the teachers, who had designed a well
taken care of meeting programme. (including a last evening
pizza party with pop corn and sorbet making machine!).
The mobility included lego activities and group film making
activities around the theme “setting life goals and achieving
them”. It also included a visit to Jorn modern art museum
of Silkeborg town and to the Aquavita aquarium, where we
had the chance to admire the nature and fauna both
indoors and the frozen lakes outdoors.
Pupils reports emphasise as most important the fact that
they made new friends, and they felt as if they had opened
a door from Greece to Denmark.
