13. Education
Sept 9th at the Hotel Northhampton, in Northhampton, we will be having a social
media master class on how to grow your own business without wasting your time. This
class will be taught by Randall Craig, a successful entrepreneur, who has presented at
the 2010 AMTA National Convention.
Dec 1st-2nd it is back to Cape Cod again to celebrate the body! This weekend we
will focus on Anatomy and SOAP Notes. Rick Horton, anatomist extraordinaire, will be
reviewing Anatomy at the Cape Codder Inn in Hyannis. Diana Thompson, former
President of the MTF, and the SoapSage herself, will be presenting on Sunday, Dec
2nd. Diana is the author of Hands Heal; Communication, and Documentation and
Insurance Billing for Manual Therapists.

21. House of Delegates
1. Approves AMTA position statements as per
policy;
2. Makes recommendations to the National
Board of Directors, as per policy, regarding:
• a. AMTA bylaws;
• b.
AMTA’s mission and goals;
• c. Matters internal to the HOD;
• d. Business of the Association in general

22. House of Delegates-National
• A delegate attends all meetings as directed by their chapter, and reports to the
members and the Chapter Board of Directors (BOD), at those meetings.
• A delegate maintains a working knowledge of materials provided prior to the HOD
meeting at National Convention.
• A delegate is responsible to ensure their chapter is processing recommendations
according to policy. A delegate is responsible for submitting position statements
submitted by a member according to policy.
• A delegate attends and participates in the HOD preliminary meeting and HOD
business meeting and casts informed votes.
• It is recommended that a delegate get involved at the chapter level and attend
chapter meetings. This will provide the delegate with the opportunity to understand
AMTA’s policies and procedures, observe parliamentary procedures and become
comfortable in making motions or speaking on behalf of their chapter.

23. House of Delegates-MA
• People elected to serve as delegate must serve on a committee
during their entire term of service as a delegate in addition to their
other duties.
• Other duties will include having one or more representatives attend
each chapter meeting to communicate the recommendations to the
membership,
• Each delegate must attend at least one of the chapter meetings, and
the delegate team must communicate with the members via
newsletter, eblast, website or social media.
• Every delegate is responsible to write a summary of their House of
Delegates experience to be submitted to the Board for possible
publication in the newsletter.
