Export in simple words means selling goods abroad or outflow of
goods and services and inflow of foreign exchange.
Each country has its own rules and regulations regarding the
foreign trade.
The documentation procedure depends on the type of goods,
process of manufacturing, type of industry and the country to
which goods is to be exported.

11. Sampling
Sampling is the Product development stage
The sample section operators are highly skilled and are capable of tailoring a
complete garment.
On receipt of the tech pack, the basic patterns are made by the pattern master.
The sample size set is made, examined completely by the merchandising team
Forwarded to the buyer for their comments.
If he is satisfied with the samples, he gives approval for going ahead with the bulk
production.

18. I.E DEPARTMENT
The Industrial Engineering department (IED) has a role to play in various stages of
garment production.
IED is involved in different departments like sampling, cutting, sewing, finishing,
etc.
The main functions of the Industrial Engineering Department are:
Target setting
Line balancing
Type of machines & folders to be used in sewing is decided by IED to provide
maximum output in the minimum time.
Monitoring production & providing solutions
19. STITCHING DEPARTMENT
Stitching department is the most important department of any
garment manufacturing unit.
When a new style comes over; the various information like
operation breakdown, sewing details, critical operations etc. is
put up on the display board.
A sample of the garment is also put up in front of the sewing line
for any type of reference.
20. Testing
The garment samples is sent to the laboratory with a
list of tests that has to be carried out as per the buyer
specification.

21. Conclusion
Richa & Company is one of the export house which always maintain their
quality standard according to the buyer requirement.
After doing 15 Days internship with Richa & Company this report on "Visit to
an Export House” has been prepared. After a part of my analysis, I was able to
understand what exactly the basic working or need of a garment industry and
what their demands are. The product development team ensures the samples
should be what the buyers are looking for. They strive to be aesthetically
pleasing and cost effective as well.
