Today companies view the IOT as an extension of current networking protocols and practices.
But those on the front lines of the Industrial Internet of Things are seeing problems already.
This paper attempts to understand the root causes and suggest alternative approaches, related to how Nature has already handled scalable and secure Machine-to-Machine messaging. Taking cues from Nature, Meshdynamics and our licensees are developing robust, secure approaches to managing the "Edge". Physical assets reside at the edge of their networks. And they may need adult supervision.
