2. Basic Aspects to
Consider
If you want to relocate from US to New Zealand,

3. Permanent Basis Relocation
The right to permanent residency in New Zealand is available only for
persons who have lived in this country for at least 24 months at the moment
of the application. American citizens must apply for permanent residency
prior to the expiration of their previous visa obtained here.

immigration authorities.
7. Investor 2 Resident Visa -
A visa for Investors
New Zealand imposes a quota of 400 visas per
year and investors are required to maintain their
New Zealand investment for 4 years.
The visa can be accessed by those who can invest
NZ $3 million and who have an age of maximum
65 years old.
8. Entrepreneur Work Visa
US investors can
stay in this country
for a period of 3
years and the visa is
granted on a point-
based system.
In the first 12
months after the
visa application, the
investor will register
the business and
start the activity.
In the following
years, the investor
will have sufficient
time to develop a
reliable and
successful company.
9. Business Visa -
Permanent Residency
The businessman has to invest
NZ $100,000 under the
Entrepreneur Work Visa and
he or she can apply for
permanent residency under
the Entrepreneur Residency
Category pathway.
10. Visa for US
Retirees
The applicant must show
evidence that he ore she has an
annual income of at least NZ
$60,000.
US retirees can relocate here
under the Parent Retirement
Residence Visa.
The applicant can receive the
right to permanent residency
if certain financial obligations
are met.
