- 48. 48 Artist Statement For our final photography project I chose to focus on the texture of objects I found on our trip in Ireland. I wanted to be able to see past just the gorgeous landscapes as a whole and see the little details that make them beautiful and interesting. I wanted my photographs to make the viewer want to touch the object that was being shot. I wanted the viewer to look at or see the object in a different way.

- This photograph features warm colors. Both symmetrical and asymmetrical balance is apparent. The position of the door and flowers is symmetrical, but the shadows across the wall make it asymmetrical.
- This photograph has actual texture from the pieces of yarn, use of complimentary colors, and exaggerated scale by filling the frame.
- The focal point in this photograph is the little boy. He is emphasized by the lines in the photograph and also by the rule of thirds. The photograph as a whole is unified with the use of cool colors.
- This photograph makes use of line (the ropes), texture (the shells) and both warm and cool colors. There is balance created by the presence of a darkness on both the left and right sides.
