2. Proposal
I have made this so I can
have a plan of what I need
and want from creating m
poster and all. They styles
and signals that I will people
on so that people can get an
idea of what the festival is
about.
3. Mind map
Mind map
Slogan
The slogan for my festival will be ‘enjoying life’
this is so when people read this they will feel
happy and safe this will draw in more customers.
Also is helps people to think think that this
festival will not disappoint as they are making it
fun and enjoyable.
Frequency of release
My target audience will want to know who is performing at the
festival so it is important that I releases the names of the acts
at the right time so I will start with the bigger names in music
as this is what will bring in the most customers. Then the other
acts will be released after also with special gests as this will
boost sales.
Festival names
Run Down : This suggests that the festival would be
ruff and not well put together however it is more
about the location which is on the cliffs and beach’s.
Beach Bound : This name suggests a holiday which
people will think about good times that they have
had growing up going on holidays this is a good way
to bring people by making them think of good
times.
Marketing
I will being using posters to advertise my festival. This
is because the posters are cheap and easy to
distribute around to people
Colour Scheme
My colour scheme will be all bright colours there
will be no set colours that are link to the festival
because the festival is all about how people can
be different so people just see all colours when
think of the festival.
Target Audience
My target audience is going to
between 18-35 They will most
likely be in the social groups from
B to D. This is because these fit to
together with the ages that I has
aimed my target audience to be. I
also know that the tickets are
expensive and people would
mostly need to be earning a form
of income.
4. What will you Repeat. (Steve Neale – 1980)
Steve Neale is a theist that said that “for media to be successful they
must have elements of repetition and difference. He then goes on to
say that difference is absolutely essential to the economy of genre this
means that the you need a bit of reparation to create the idea then to
progress from there to make more money.
5. Artists and shows
At my festival I want people that are popular at the moment as this will
draw in the most amount of people that I can as the artists will have a
wide fan base and so I will sell more tickets.
I will also have other shows happing such as comedians and movies on
in the evening this will good for people as they can have something else
to do other than just see music.
6. Calendar events
• For my festival there and not other festival happening when my
festival will we on this is good because it means that there is space for
my festival on the market it is aimed to be the last week of June this is
because this is when my target audience brake up and will be free to
come.
8. Hand drawn drafts
These hand drawn drafts give me an idea of what I am am going to do for my festival poster and
gives me an idea of what I will do for the final design and what will work best for my target
audience.
9. Draft layouts
• The draft layouts show me a more clear layout than my hand drawn layouts and gives me an idea of space
and where I will fit everything on to the page. Also to check that the layout was up to the standard that I
wanted it to be .

10. Logo design
From looking as the Glastonbury poster I have taken inspiration. I have tried to change the layout a bit so it is not as
dramatic as the other one. But the structure of the Glastonbury I svery nice to look at with all the colours on it so I
thought I would use this as well.
12. House Styles
• I want lots of bright colours for my house styles. This is because I do
not want there to be any set colours but for people but to wear and
dress up in the bright colours.
• The colours below give you an idea of what I aspect people to wear:

14. Location Recce
• Before I take any of
the photos for my
poster I need to
complete a location
recce this will show
me what hazards may
come up and how I
will avoid them to
stay safe. It will also
protect anyone that I
might be going with
to take these photos.
Location
Time
Date
Why
I will be taking my photos on
the beach in the evening of
summer this is so I can get
photos of a clear sun set on
the beach.
Picture
Shot type
Equipment
Why
The shot type will be wide
long shot this is so I can
capture the full experience of
the beach so people will really
want to come. For this I will
need a camera that takes high
quality photos and a wide
lends
Permission needed
Contact needed?
I do not need to contact
anyone before I use these
images because the area that I
have taken the photos of is
public land and the is no one
in the picture.
Potential Hazards As I will be taking these
photos on the beach so I will
need to time it right so that
the tide on the beach does
not come in when I am tiring
to take them
15. Drafts Photos
• I needed to take some extra photos to make sure that I would have
the right one for my poster just in case some of them are not up to
the standard that I want them to be.
16. Budget Summary
To advertise my festival in a magazine it will cost me £115 for one full
page advert. I will need to advertise this over around 6 mouths before
the festival this will cost me £690. This will be good money spent, as lot
of people are going to see this magazine. I was also need to pay for lots
of equipment such as the publishers they will need to be payed. So
these types of extra payments will have to be take into consideration
17. Risk assessment
Photography Risk assessment
Because of the location of my images I needed to complete a location recce. This is because there is
a small chance that I might injure myself when I am take these photos this might be the sea or it
could be someone running past. People could also complain about my photo as it will be published
a lot so I need to make sure that I am protected.
Area Risk Assessment
Before I take the photo I need to check the area is safe as it could change from where I have been
there before. This might be because of the weather.
Software Risk Assessment
When editing the photos I need to make sure that when resizing the images that I do not make then
pixilated. To make sure that I do not do this I will take the image in 4k and I will hold shift when
resizing the image on photoshop.
18. Issues (Regulatory, Legal and Ethical)
Content that usually has copyright can be referred to as Intellectual Property (IP) and this is
protected by the law. IP can be divided into two categories; Industrial Property and Copyright. As
well as IP on printed work, you can get a digital watermark which protects any copyrighted content
from any magazine online and in any digital format. It is important to have this because it means
people will have to pay you to use your information and ideas. The best way to protect your IP is to
acquire a patent. However, this can take several years to get and costs over £5000.
The Data Protection Act 1998 is an act of the United Kingdom Parliament showing the ways in
which information about people may be legally used and handled. The main intent is to protect
individuals against misuse or abuse of information about them.
The Advertising Standards Authority is the self-regulatory organization of the advertising industry
in the United Kingdom. The Advertising Standards Authority have a useful website when evaluating
advertising campaigns. If possible learners may also find press packs and marketing material for
print products, Broadcasting Audience Research Board (BARB) or Radio Joint Audience Research
(RAJAR) useful for current research statistics on target audiences.
For my poster and audio visual I will make sure that I am always protected by anyone that might
they and steel my ideas or information this way I can make sure that people will want to buy my
tickets as they will have not seen anything like it.
19. Copyright
Copyright is a legal law that stops people from copying other peoples
work. This could include print based products or online products. In
1980 it changed so that the creator can write their own laws to suite
their own product. This means that they then have there ownership
right so that if people try to use their image or product to make money
or they can be sued.
20. Audio Advertisements
• If I was going to make a audio visual for my festival I would film it and
produce it first on YouTube then on my social media so people can
then and go see the full video. I would make it 2 to 3 minutes long
this way people do not get to bored of it and will want to see more.
Also people will be able to make comments so that I will be able to
get feedback and edit new videos so that people will like the video
even more.
• I would post it on YouTube as this is where most people go to look at
videos and where clips get more views. Also to post on YouTube it
does not cost any money so it will not set me back anything.
21. Location and schedules.
• To make sure that I do not spend to much money on advertisements I
will put posters up in and on trains and at the train stations as these
are highly populated place that lots of people will see and this will
draw in lots of customers. If I mainly focus on putting them in tube
station in London this will be the best places as this is were more
people will see the poster.
• It will cost me £250 for each poster that I want to put up so I will want
to put them up in at least 10 different tube stations which will cost
around £2,500 at the minimum.
22. Budget Summary
To advertise my festival in a magazine it will cost me £115 for
one full page advert. I will need to advertise this over around 6
